Has any of you had your baby's weight measured by the ultrasound and once the baby was born, his weight was completely different than what expected?

As far as weight and length and those things go, the further along you are in your pregnancy the more UNaccurate the ultrasounds are. An US at 12 weeks is more correct as to the size and such at THAT time than an US done at 35 weeks.

My doctors for both of me pregnancies told me that.

Depends on when you get the ultrasounding done. Unlucky for me I did not find out I was pregnant with my son although we were trying to concieve until I was almost 5 months pregnant. He was just naturally a big baby and they got the dating wrong (since I continued to have periods up until then they couldn't use them for dating). I thought I was 38 weeks when I went into labor. After my son was born the doctors discovered he was at the beginning of his 35 week mark. He is healthy and you would never know, but its just a rare case that the ultrasound was wrong. So just know who your doctors are and know their reputation.

congrats

As far as i know they are pretty accurate. Just before i had my daughter, the ultrasound said she weighed 5 lbs 2 oz and she was 5 lbs exactly when she was born. i don't think they are 100% accurate, but they are close

Yes ultrasounds are AT BEST as accurate is a skilled professional using their hands or estimating based on mothers age, race, etc. At worst with an unskilled technician they are no better than picking a number out of a hat.
