My Little Girl by Tim McGraw is soooo perfect!!
"My Little Girl"
[Verse 1:]
Gotta hold on easy as I let you go.
Gonna tell you how much I love you, though you think you already know.
I remember I thought you looked like an angel wrapped in pink so soft and warm.
You've had me wrapped around your finger since the day you were born.
[Chorus:]
You're beautiful baby from the outside in.
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again.
Go on, take on this whole world.
But to me you know you'll always be, my little girl.
[Verse 2:]
When you were in trouble that crooked little smile could melt my heart of stone.
Now look at you, I've turned around and you've almost grown.
Sometimes you're asleep I whisper "I Love You!" in the moonlight at your door.
As I walk away, I hear you say, "Daddy Love You More!".
[Chorus:]
You're beautiful baby from the outside in.
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again.
Go on, take on this whole world.
But to me you know you'll always be, my little girl.
[Verse 3:]
Someday, some boy will come and ask me for your hand.
But I won't say "yes" to him unless I know, he's the half
that makes you whole, he has a poet's soul, and the heart of a man's man.
I know he'll say that he's in love.
But between you and me. He won't be good enough!
[Chorus:]
You're beautiful baby from the outside in.
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again.
Go on, take on this whole world.
But to me you know you'll always be, my little girl.

Not sure what exactly you are looking for, but my favorite is "I Love" by Tom T Hall. It's a really old country song and it has a music box medly. I remember both my dad and my grandpa playing it for me when I was little, and teaching me the words. It's more funny cute then it is "bring a tear to your eye" happy and sad. Here's the lyrics:
I love little baby ducks, old pickup trucks
Slow-movin' trains and rain
I love little country streams, sleep without dreams
Sunday school in May and hay
And I love you, too
I love leaves in the wind, pictures of my friends
Birds of the world and squirrels
I love coffee in a cup, little fuzzy pups
Bourbon in a glass and grass
And I love you, too
I love honest, open smiles, kisses from a child
Tomatoes on the vine and onions
I love winners when they cry, losers when they try
Music when it's good and life
And I love you, too

Well, when I was a little girl, I use to sing "when you wish upon a star" to my daddy. I got married in November, and we used the version by Rosemary Clooney for our daddy/daughter dance. I love that song for a daddy and daughter, because my dad always wanted me to have anything my heart desired (now I'm crying...crazy pregnancy hormones) My dad was a soldier too. God bless your husband, and you and your daughter. I will pray he comes home safe. And you can tell your little girl about what a hero her daddy is!

Stevie Wonder has this song called "Isn't she Lovely" It's from a movie but right now I can't think of it. My husband played this for our little girl after she was born - was the first music she heard.

I don't have a song but your husband will be in my prayers. I know what it's like for a husband to be in the military. It's hard. May all the best happen to him and may he come back safetly. Best wishes to you and hubby and your new daughter.

"Daughters" by John Mayer
John Mayer - Daughters
I know a girl
She puts the color inside of my world
But she’s just like a maze
Where all of the walls all continually change
And I’ve done all I can
To stand on her steps with my heart in my hands
Now I’m starting to see
Maybe it’s got nothing to do with me
Fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too
Oh, you see that skin?
It’s the same she’s been standin’ in
Since the day she saw him walking away
Now she’s left
Cleanin’ up the mess he made
So fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too
Boys, you can break
You’ll find out how much they can take
Boys will be strong
And boys soldier on
But boys would be gone without warmth from
A woman’s good, good heart
Oh behalf of every man
Looking out for every girl
You are the god and the weight of her world
So fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too
So mothers, be good to your daughters too
So mothers, be good to your daughters too
