I also have a SHARP pain in my lower back that comes and goes. I am having a lot more pressure pain on my pelvic area. Baby isnt as active but I still feel her. I feel the need to go to the bathroom and when I do I just cramp bad, but my stools havent became any looser. I dont want to go be observed at the hospital all day and get sent home. I dont know if this is real.

Start timing your contractions, because most likely it is false labor. Once they get to 5 mins apart and stronger then you go to the hospital. You are right,, they just observe you and send you home.

They could be real, or they could be braxton hicks contractions. Its not uncommon for women to have them at this phase of pregnancy. If they are constant pains that dont feel any better with changing position, like from sitting to standing, or lying down. Then I would worry that its the real deal. But cramping is a part of pregnancy. So is the lower back pain. The pain in your back could be the baby pushing on a nerve which causes the pains. My 3rd child was facing my back and he use to push on my spine alot when I was pregnant with him, causing serious pains that hurt for a while. Just remember your body is getting bigger and bigger in a short amount of time, and thats just some of the down sides to pregnancy.
If you are still concerned, then call your dr and see what they say. Good luck to you!

It doesn't sound like you are in true labor. More like your baby has "dropped" because of the pressure and pain in your back and pelvic area. True labor will get stronger and closer together. They feel like menstral cramps in the beginning. Braxton Hicks contractions feel like a tightening across your belly and sometimes in your back, but usually aren't painful. False labor usually goes away when you rest or change your position. Try to take it easy, and if your symptoms worsen, call your doctor.

Good luck!

You need to get to the Hos. you are ONLY 33 weeks, your baby if born now will probably spend a few weeks in the nicu with breathing problems, its lungs arent mature at this point. Trust me when i tell you that you absolutly need to get your contractions and labor stopped. I went into labor at 32 weeks with my son and he spent about 4 weeks in the nicu, i never heard him cry, only gasp because he couldnt breath. I never seen my baby after i gave birth. They rushed him to the intensive care, I had to wait 4 hours before i seen him, they were trying to get him breathing. When i finally got to see him, he was in a coma that they induced, he had tubes down his throat and was on 100% oxygen, another words he wasnt breathing at all, the machine was. They had him on all types of moniters. Now after this being said would you rather go in for a day and get them stopped or go through what my son and i went through? Please do this for your baby,Its not ready to survive out here and theres no place better than right where it is.

Better to be safe, then deliver in your bathroom. Go to the hospital. Everyone is different but I would go if you are concerned. You are only 3 weeks early. What if something is not right you should go. Just to be safe. Whast the worst that will happen the nurses will laugh and say oh your a first time mom. So what. Go!

All I can really say about real labor is that there is NO question that it is real. So, if you're questioning it, it's probably false labor. Staying hydrated will help decrease Braxton-Hicks contractions, so drink lots of water and put your feet up for a few hours.

sounds like i did when i went into labor. It took three days worth of labor before i delivered and the hospital just kept sending me home until my water broke and they were forced to keep me. Good luck

First of all, you're really early, and it could be the ligaments that are attached to the Uterus stretching. However, phone your doc / midwife, and get an exam to make sure all is well. You still have a good 7 weeks to your due date. So, try to relax, and enjoy your time. ~~~

You need to go to the hospital. They will tell you if it is real or false labor. Strangers on the internet probably don't know.

You definantly need to contact your doctor but if they aren't getting any closer together they could just be braxton hicks contractions and all that other stuff accompanying it sounds like normal late term pregnancy things to me this is just from my experience but you need to call your doctor to be safe and sure.
