My doctor told me that he found calcium on the placenta at my last ultra sound, and I wanted to know what that means.. Will I go into labour early?, Is the baby getting what it needs?, What does it mean when he sees calcium on the placenta, I am 33 weeks pregnant

I went into urgent care on christmas eve for really bad headaches that I have been waking up with. I went in because I never wake up with headaches. So the doc. asked me a series of questions and took a urine test which showed up neg. then a blood test that was positive. she said I am early like 2 weeks or so.

I'm 13 weeks into my first pregnancy and I am at risk for having an incompetent cervix (I had part of my cervix removed a couple years ago from dysplasia). I have seen my OB twice and a specialist once (so far, so good). I go again to both docs next week. My specialist said they typically don't do a cerclage (stitch up the cervix) until you've lost 2 or 3 pregnancies. Call me crazy, but my husband and I would rather not "wait" until that happens (especially since we know I am already at a higher risk). My regular OB said they wouldn't wait for it to happen (they will just keep watching me). I'm still nervous that if I need it, it could be too late by the time they realize it. Why can't they just do the cerclage anyway? I know that if your cervix dialates 4 cm or more you can't do it. Has anyone ever had a cerclage done before the cervix started opening (as a preventative measure)?

I have been bleeding like a normal period but I have no cramps and I normally do I am constantly nauseated and I never and with my periods. My lower back hurts and I have a little tenderness in my breasts and abdomin could I be pregnant?

Over the weekend I had an episode of vaginal pressure lasting about a minute or so. Now, for the last 2 days I've had this wierd vaginal feeling. It almost reminds me of when you get a pap test done and can feel the mild scraping. Occasionally I have that fleeting feeling of pressure. This is my first pregnancy and I don't know if this is normal or not. Could it just be my body adjusting to the weight of the baby? Or does this sound like a symptom of incompetent cervix? I don't have any of the typical warning factors. I made an appointment with the doctor. I'm going this afternoon to get checked out just to make sure. Can anyone offer advice or personal experience??

I am 42 years old and I have had 3 miscarriges in the last 12 months and 1 two years ago the fist one was at 12 weeks and the remaining 3 were 7 weeks 1 day, 5 weeks 6 days and the last one was 5 weeks 1 day. I have been taking folic acid and other vitimins sugested for conception and pregnancy and have been avoiding alcohol.
I dont smoke and I have been carful about what I eat.
I dont drink tea or coffee. I only drink green tea. I do reduce the number of cups of green tea I drink to 3 cups a day while I am pregnant.I have read so many different articals about miscarriage that I am now totally confussed. is there anything anyone can suggest to allow me and my husband have a healthy baby.

I have moved to the US on a dependent visa. All health insurance companies I contacted so far have a waiting period of 12 months for availing maternity benefits. I want to start planning a family sometime this year.. Is there any health insurance which does not have a waiting period? Pls help!!!

I have been to my regular OB twice and a specialist once so far to check my cervix (everything so far looks good). I see both docs again next week. If it starts to look like my cervix is opening, I will have a cerclage done (and limited activity). My OB has already told me to stop having intercourse (but I didn't ask about having orgasms other ways). I'll definitely ask them next week, but does anyone have any advice for now?

I am trying to be careful and stay away from them, but they are the head of the company, and it's not like I can ask them to go home, and I can't do my job from my house.... The other boss smokes a lot... And does it right at my desk, at the door, so if it is windy, it just blows right back onto my desk and right in my face. Should I just look for another job.... What would be someones advise, prefereably someone who has gone through this as well....

Does anyone know if I am more or less likely to get sick? My husband heard somewhere that with the baby and everything going on, that my antibodies would be higher to help me not get sick.... Has anyone heard of that before??? Please give honest feedback. I am going to the doctor on Friday, but wanted to have a little more information to work with until then.... Thanks!
