I'm 13 weeks and am at a higher risk for an incompetent cervix (I've had surgery on it in the past). I have been to my regular OB twice and a specialist once so far to check my cervix (everything so far looks good). I see both docs again next week. If it starts to look like my cervix is opening, I will have a cerclage done (and limited activity). My OB has already told me to stop having intercourse (but I didn't ask about having orgasms other ways). I'll definitely ask them next week, but does anyone have any advice for now?

that's crazy i have the exact same thing going on and i am also 13 weeks. i was also told not to have intercourse, and i never asked but i would assume, orgasm is not ok, i was reading something that said orgasms tend to start labor, so i would definitly ask your OB, for now just do like me and try to get along without ANYTHING LOL just remember its all for the baby. good luck to you. i am getting the cerclage done next week, i'm kind of nervous!!!
hope everything goes well. oh and let me know if you find out for sure about the orgasm thing. :)

I have this condition too and no its not good for your cervix to have an orgasm even with out the intercourse. Your cervix dilates when you have an orgasm and with an incompetent cervix you are just asking for trouble. You have to treat yourself like glass at the minute be very gentle.

communicate on your Dr. in case you're pregnant. in case you have miscarried, orgasming will loosen up the cervix extra and you have gotten a larger risk of yet another miscarriage. there is desire inspite of the shown fact that, there's a sparkling band that has been approved to be utilized in situations have been there isn't any opposite direction to close the cervix. like the tummy band, kinda.

I would wait until you talk to the doctor to have an orgasm. I don't know that it would hurt, but why take the chance.

something to discuss with your OB, dont be afraid to ask, they have heard and seen it all, definately would not play around with it, until you discuss this with your doctor
