not sure what you mean by incompetent, but having orgasms and if they are safe, totally depends on when you have them and your personal history,,,,,, if you have had miscarriages in the early months, its suggested you not, as they can trigger one,,,,,,

Speak to your Dr. if you are pregnant. If you have miscarried, orgasming will relax the cervix more and you will have a greater chance of another miscarriage.
There is hope though, there is a new band that has been approved for use in cases were there is no other way to close the cervix. Like the stomach band, kinda.

I even have this situation too and no its not sturdy to your cervix to have an orgasm even without the intercourse. Your cervix dilates once you have an orgasm and with an incompetent cervix you're basically inquiring for difficulty. you will desire to attend to your self like glass on the minute be very comfortable.

You really should ask your doctor such an important question, and not trust yahoos on the internet.
If you have been diagnosed with incompetent cervix, they may do a few stiches in your cervix (known as cerclage) to help prevent miscarriage.
here's more info on cerclage:

Are you pregnant? If you aren't pregnant then yes it is safe. If you are then your doctor should've answered that for you. You doctor would be able to tell you best. It's always best to be safe than sorry if you are pregnant. So definately consult a doctor. You shouldn't be embarassed to ask either.
