Pregnancy - January 2007

I'm 21 weeks pregnant and every once in a while I will wipe and get a glob of white discharge. It's like a glob of egg white consistency. This wouldn't be my mucous plug would it? Is this something that just happens when you are pregnant? I appreciate any info you have. Thanks♥

I am being induced on Friday, without the use of pitocin. They are using a softening agent, although I'm not sure which. How long should this take? Anyone have any stories?

What would you think about a woman who gets an arm put around her and the guy says...let's see who has a bigger belly you or me? Then she looks at her belly and at his. He says his is like 5 months and she says hers is 6 months. They both laugh and look again and compare. And then they talk about how ready she is to have her baby and they still hug! What kind of friendship do they have if they guy can say/do this with her in front of other guys?

I was just wondering if anyone has had a tummy tuck and then gotten pregnant? If you know someone that did, also that would help! :) I'm thinking about getting one. I'm 21 and i don't think i can live much longer with this belly of mine after having two children... I think i'm done. But i still have a lot more time on my clock. So if i had a tummy tuck and got pregnant again i wonder if it would affect my pregnancy?

I was due for my period 6 days ago. I did not have sex, but close genital contact (no penetration) on December 18th. My cycles are longer and my last one started on December 8th, so December 18th should have been long before I ovulated (average cycle length: 33-35 days). However, I'm still 6 days late if I had a 35 day cycle this month. I've taken numerous hpts with first morning urine since the day my period was due, all negative. I got a urine test from my doctor the day before I was due and it was negative. I also got a blood test on Tuesday from my doctor (I was four days late then) and it was negative. But I've read so much about women having false negative blood tests that I'm scared. My period still hasn't come and there's really no sign of it at all. I was cramping a little for a few days, but it stopped. Please help. I'm scared.

This is my first pregnancy. The date of the first day of my last period was Dec.16/06. I got a postive test on Jan13/06 and went to my family doctor on the 15th. The pregnancy was confirmed and they ran a bunch of blood work. However because my doctor does not deliver babies, she refered me to another doctor that does. My appt is not untill Feb.26. when I will get my first prenatal exam.Is this too long to wait? Should I be worried? Also how far along would I be?

I started my period Dec. 31, 2006 and it lasted about 4 or 5 days. My husband and I have been TTC since Nov. ( I also came off of the pill then). We made love on the 14th of Jan. and a few days after I was feeling twitches/fluttering in my lower abdomen. Has anyone had this experience so early on and actually been pregnant? We bought one from Wal-Mart and tried it out. It is pretty neat hearing the little thumps and bops of the baby moving around but as of yet, no heartbeat... My wife is 19 weeks as of today, anyone have any idea how soon we may be able to hear it with the monitor?

I am 31 weeks pregnant now, and at my last visit with the OB where I was at 29 weeks, they made me drink that sweet concentrate and tested me for diabetes and iron. Well the prenatal vitamins I have been taking are the Flinestones complete which my OB told me to take 1 tablet every day. The day before the test I was told to avoid high sugary foods as well as on the morning before that test. I had no idea I was going to get blood work done for both my glucose and hemoglobin levels. Well it turns out that since the flinestones tablets are very sweet I did not take it on the day before my diabetes test and I ended up taking it the night after I was tested. When I was tested for iron...the levels were showing 108. I believe the normal amounts should be 102 as the lab technician told me. Could it have been 108 because I had not eaten my prenatals that morning or the day before? My dr. told me the levels are borderline and okay now, but I can use a supplement or something cause iron

implantation bleeding???? do women usually have it? i have a 3 yr old but i cant remember if i had that or not??? are chances of having implantation bleeding more high than low?? it sounds like like is pretty common but if so why havent i heard of this before?

I've heard that it feels like butterflies in your stomach .Maybe its the way I compare the feeling different my feelling is more like bubbles to me . At an ultrasound just a few days ago the baby is helathy and active ...my friend says its the small bubble like feeling that is the baby moving ....what do you think ?

Is it common to have heart palpitations in early pregnancy? This has been happening every day to me for four days mostly at night. I'll just be sitting there and suddenly my heart starts pounding. I am going for bloodwork today but I wonder if anyone else has had this happen.

As long as I can remember my periods have always been on a 28 day cycle. I have 4 children now and after I had my last son they have been anywhere from 30 to 32 cycles is this normal? And how long can you go between cycles for example the average is 28 days my are 32 so how long can a cycle really be. So I guess my question is should I be worried that my cycles have changes this dramtic since I had my last baby? My baby is 7 months old so this has not been going on that long but I would just like some advice or some opinions on the subject. Thank you very much.
