We have one and my wife is 19 weeks along, we have not heard the heartbeat yet but we can hear the baby moving around, which is pretty neat! It is worth the 20 bucks Wal-Mart wants for it.

Those things don't work to great at all, you should go on-line and try to find someplace where you can rent the Doppler systems, because they are the same things used in doctors offices to listen to the heartbeat as early as 8 weeks and they work really great. You can also purchase them for $400 and up but you can rent them for as little as $25/month. If you do a search on the Internet and input the keywords "heartbeat Doppler rental" allot of companies that provide this service should come up.

It does work, although it can be a bit finicky. It works better the farther along you are...with the execption of the last few weeks it can get harder to find since the baby takes up so much room in there. It takes a lot of patience to find the heartbeat, and almost complete silence.

It is a little tricky to find the heartbeat, but once you find it you never want to turn it off. Honestly with my first I tried and wasn't able to hear with it toward the tail end of my pregnancy. I never used it again while pregnant with my other children. Save the money and just listen at the DR office

I'm now 5 months when they claim it'll start picking up the heartbeat but I havent heard a thing. I'll put it on my belly and listen for a while then try putting it on my thigh and listen and it sounds the same! Glad it was a gift.

are you talking about the baby monitor that you put in the babie's room so that you can hear him/her from your room?
if so, I have seen this one, i think it's similar to the angelcare monitor which is the one I have.
i had it with my 1st son.. i just bought a 2nd one for my 2nd son that is on his way!
so if that is what you are asking, i like the angelcare.. I think the bebe sounds it just a newer model and it gives you like 3 monitors where angelcare only give you 1.
hope this helps!

this is what I heard. I asked around alot because I wanted one. Those cheap ones suc... but if you do get a cheap one bebe sounds is the best one. Your best bet is to rent an expensive medical one... I just ordered one that is highly recommende and I have not heard anything bad about.. at babybeat.com

Don't waste your money.
I had one with my daughter and picked up more cars going down the road than her heartbeat. I even took it to my dr's appt and right after my dr used her doppler she put my BeBe on the same spot and still couldnt pick up the heartbeat.
Total waste of $20.

Never picked up a heartbeat for either twin, but we heard a lot of kicks, bumps, hiccups, etc. That was still fun to hear.
