Hey I'm in the same boat as you. I'm 19 weeks and I was waiting for the butterfly feeling but on Monday I felt the baby move for the first time and it felt more like bubbles to me than anything. It was kind of like when you're hungry and feel that gurgling feeling only it was lower in my abdomen. I definitely think it was the baby but have only felt that feeling once since. I have heard that every woman describes the feeling differently one website I saw a woman said it reminded her of pop corn popping. At any rate when you first feel fetal movement it's erratic and eventhough the baby moves a lot during the course of the day it may only be strong enough for you to feel once in a while. As the pregnancy progresses it should become more regular and strong. I also had my ultrasound this week and saw the baby moving so I know it's healthy and active. When I saw the baby it was head down and the legs were right near the area where I felt the bubbles the day prior. It must have been the little ones legs kicking around. At any rate, I think what you're feeling is the baby. Yay! :)

The feeling of the baby moving at this gestation is a sort of bubble like feeling. A better way to describe it is a feeling of butterflies in your stomach. That's how it was explained to me when I was pregnant for the first time and it helped me to recognize the first feeling of my baby moving.

At 19 weeks, a bubble moving could very well be your baby moving around. It takes time to feel the movements really well and by the time you deliver you will be glad it's over from being kicked so often :-)
Not all women are alike, so the comparisions are different.

Yeah that's what your feeling. At first it's always hard to know for sure if that's what it really is but as the weeks go by and the baby gets bigger so will the movements and kicks! Enjoy now because later it will be hard to even sleep with all the kicking and moving around. I'm 28 weeks and already i have to walk around at night so my little one will calm down and go to sleep! I love it though!!!

I will be 19 weeks tomorrow with my first baby. I started feeling fluttering about one week ago, & my dr. said it will get stronger in the next two weeks. That is what you are feeling. Since this is my first it took me a minute to realize what I was feeling. It's soooo wonderful huh?? My husband and I found out yesterday that we're having a boy!!!!! Good luck to you & enjoy your pregnancy, I know I am!!

Yes,she is correct..To me the fluttering feels like popcorn popping or little goldfish swimming around in my tummy..Different women compare it to different things,by this time u should be definitely feeling some flutters,so bubbles are a very good way of explaining the way it feels..Congrats!

If this is your first pregnancy, you won't know what it feels like. I know I would barely feel something and just brush it off like it was nothing. As long as the ultrasound says your baby is fine, believe me, he/she is moving around in there. Right now the baby has LOTS of room to somersault, rotate, etc. so its harder to determine. In a month or so, you will definitely, without a doubt, know that your baby is having fun in there!

If you have a recliner. Lean all the way back in it and put a pillow under your back, behind your belly. If you lay there long enough and watch your belly you will probably see movement.. My baby moved alot when i was in the bathtub as well. Sometimes you can see it and not feel it. With your first you might not feel it as soon.

the little flutters your feeling are the toddler kicking the huge kicks you experience on the out fringe of your womb / by putting your hand / husbands hand on your abdomen. initiate any time between 20 and 22 weeks. it gets early with each and each being pregnant. i'm a mum of four. sturdy success.
