I would call around to different OB/GYNs and see if any others can get you in earlier.. Ask around and see who's the best. For now go to babyzone.com.. its awesome. You can make a pregnancy calendar and it will keep track of your weeks for you. Good Luck!

Thats the problem with OBGYNs you wait a long time for the first appointment. You can check with your family doctor to see if he can give you prenatal vitamins or you can buy them over the counter. You are in week 5 of your pregnancy now as am I. My last period was the same day as yours. I checked it out online and we should deliver around September 22. Don't worry unless you start bleeding or having bad pain. Just relax and enjoy your pregnancy it goes by so fast. Good Luck!!!!11

No and really your regular doctor probably did most of what would be a first exam. You would probably be around 13 weeks but your doctor will discuss that with on the 26th. Take a regular one a day vitamin and eat well, dont drink or smoke and you will be fine until the 26 and your appt. I know its stressfull when you cant seem to do what you are supposed to do because of waiting for appts, or test results etc. but the appt wont be that much late lots of people dont even realize they are pregnant by thirteen weeks.

As frustrating as it seems it can take awhile to get into the doctor. My hubby and I went all the way through the phone book calling all the doctors to try to get in as soon as we could. At the time I thought I was already8 weeks so I wanted to get in to make sure the baby was okay. We had to go 30 minutes away but I was very satisfied with the doctor we ended up seeing. We found that one opening and we got in 2 weeks earlier than we would have. Getting a doctor can be downright frustrating. Also know that sometimes you can only be scheduled when they have openings. Also you would be due around September 23 2007. Of course some doctors vary and it can be sooner or earlier than that. Also, know that it is normal to have to wait. But, I wanted to get in sooner and I was in luck.

depends on how long your cyccle is, but you would concieve halfway through your cycle, starting dec. 16. for a 28 day cycle, that means you were pregnant on Dec. 30. It's ok to wait that long, most ob,s are very busy. You are only just about 3 weeks along, which means 39 left to go. You due date would be around October 15.

Personally, I think this is a bit long to wait. I wouldn't worry though. Start taking your prenatal vitamins and eat healthy. Drink lots of water and milk. You'll probably be around 10 -12 weeks by then. Good luck and congratulations!

Nope, its normal. My first appointment isnt until tomorrow and I will be almost 8 weeks pregnant. After that they see you once a month until your close to the end of your pregnancy. Then its every 2 weeks and then once a week until you deliver. You can call around and check though if you want.

No it isn't that long. That appointment is probably your first prenatal exam. Don't be worried but my saying this won't help you. Call the doctor you have the appointment with. Voice your concerns. Ask your questions directly to them. The office staff is very familiar with questions like these. Lots of expecting mothers have them. Congratulations and breathe!

It's only about 5 weeks so its not too long to wait. For your first few months you only go to the doc every 4 weeks so just waiting an extra week isn't bad. Just take care of yourself and everything will be fine
