you can take a test from the first day of your missed period although you do need to have had a regular cycle to be able to do this if you are pregnant and still getting a neg result it could be because you ovulated later than the usual 14 days past the first day of your last period you see a test wont come up pos for at least 14 days after conception so you just might have to wait a couple of days. if you still have had nothing in 5 days go and see a doctor i had this problem i had a 38 day cycle that month so it felt like ages b4 i could test good luck

The only time a pregnancy test will lie is when they say neg. It may have been that you didn't get enough urine on it, or it may of been a dud. They have some test that can tell if you are pregnant before you even miss your period. Well congrats!!

yes, it's possible. depending on the type of test it was, you may need to wait a bit longer. they usually recommend taking the test at least 10 days after your missed period. i took one when i was 4 days late, and it came back negative. 3 days later it came out positive. so it does happen.

Yeah, its because your hormone level hasn't gotten high enough for the test to detect it. Same thing happened to me! I was 12 weeks pregnant before i went to the doctor, because that's how long it took to get a positive pregnancy test. And even then, the line was BARELY there. lol. Congratulations!

Its a possibility I guess - the pregnancy tests are looking for a specific hormone (I think). . so maybe if your level wasn't as high for some reason, it could have come back negative.
Or - the test could have been expired or old, or you could have made a mistake taking the test, etc.

I had that happen, too. I was still certain I was pregnant though, my boobs were so darn swollen. I actually had to take it 3 times.
