I could never hear my baby's heart beat on mine. Just the movements. Whenever your wife can feel what position her baby is in, put the monitor on the baby's back.. Maybe you'll have more luck than me.. I think you can hear it better when your further into the 20s week wise.

I bought one through motherhood.com and it never worked at all so I returned it, but I rented a professional one from www.storkradio.com and picked up the heartbeat right away. Everyone I have known that bought one at a local store was never able to pick up a heartbeat unless they were like 8 months pregnant. I was about 19 or 20 weeks at the time i used the one from stork radio. At 19 weeks you would be able to hear a heartbeat though. IJust my experience, hope this helps.

Those things don't work to great at all, you should go on-line and try to find someplace where you can rent the Doppler systems, because they are the same things used in doctors offices to listen to the heartbeat as early as 8 weeks and they work really great. You can also purchase them for $400 and up but you can rent them for as little as $25/month. If you do a search on the Internet and input the keywords "heartbeat Doppler rental" allot of companies that provide this service should come up.

i don't be attentive to of any retail shops that has them out for human beings to apply. you ought to purchase them, yet actually the retail ones are crappy and maximum women have not got any luck looking the pulse till the very end of being pregnant, if in any respect. in actuality, i think of those instruments make women greater paranoid, because of the fact lay-persons don't be attentive to the tricks of the commerce to discover the fetal heart beat, and whilst they don't discover it they freak out thinking something is incorrect. Or they seize their very own heart beat and think of the infant's heart beat is purely too low, and so on. save your money. In some weeks you would be feeling your infant shifting on a on an wide-unfold basis foundation and which would be all of the peace of mind you will choose.
