Pregnancy - October 2006

I just feel like everything is moving in slow motion lately. September went by SOOOO slowly. It doesn't help that I've been as sick as a dog since mid August, and I'm still just as sick (even though everyone tells me it should be over soon, I feel even worse.) It could me that I'm a school teacher and September always goes slowly, but I felt this way in August too and as a teacher that usually goes by quickly. I'm kind of glad it's going slow because I know that before we know it we will have a baby and our lives will be flipped upside down in feedings and other nightly rituals. But I was just wondering if anyone else's pregnancy felt like this?

i feel a lot of a bubbly sensation for the past wk or so and i wonder if thats the baby moving but i havent felt him kick and im worried, the doc said i was suppose to feel the kick as soon as i was 21wks. its been 2wks and nothin. can someone tell me about the bubbly sensation and why i havent felt the kick? should i be worried?

Is it normal to not feel the baby moving up towards my ribs, when my uterus is moving up that way. It seems there's room in there that he's not using, and he's staying really low. Could that mean that he's not growing right, and he's small? He moves a lot, my tummy's not really big either. Wouldn't he be using all the room now if he's between like 2-4pnds now, I've read, and about 15inches long or so? Thanks, I'm sure you can tell this is my 1st pregnancy!!!!

can you receive a miscarriage by not eating right, or would the baby be premature. Or does it matter how far along you are, and if so, how many months would be too much to misscarry..im not pregnant, just curious.

I have heard that if your mother did not have stretch marks, you are less likely to have them. I made it through my first pregnancy without stretch marks, but now I am only 30 weeks and i have a feeling I won't be so lucky this time due to the way that I am growing and the itching on my abdomen.I'm using mederma and cocoa butter to help prevent. Any other suggestions?

I started my pregnancy at 130 lbs. And 5' 5" tall. I am now In week 10 and weigh 116. I am trying to eat as much as I can but for the longest time I couldn't keep anything down.......In fact my morning sickness is back in full force this morning.........what should I do? I don't want to harm my baby. When I told my doctor about it he just said "that happens" that's not good enough for me! I don't know what to do..I can't afford to lose anymore weight. ok so I was a couple days late on my period I was cramping really bad but nothing was coming then at like midnight (I usually get my period in the morning) I had some brown spotting its been two days and its not very heavy but I still have some bleeding. I've been having cramping still and I never have cramps! I've been having some other symptoms too like feeling nauseous sometimes(last night I felt sick for hours), frequency in urination, moodswings, headaches, I have no idea whats going on with me. I've taken three tests, all negative, I took one Monday at midnight, Wed at midnight, and yesterday, it wasn't a clear negative it was blurry, I can't hold it in the stream for 10 secs likeyou are supposed to cause I pee so often now that I don't have enough to pee that long so I think the tests could be wrong. I have just the little bit of spotting like when I wipe but its not like a normal period. The last time I had sex was 3 weeks ago.

Ok my problem is i have periods every month but not in correct date, not like 28 days , its very rare to have periods with in 28 days, some months periods will come only after 30 or 35 days and will last for 4 days or 5. do i have any problem? will this affect my marriage i mean when we are trying to conceieve?

Hi. I am 8 weeks pregnant and retaining water horribly. My legs are so swollen that the weight of the water is actually putting to much pressure on my blood vessels, causing red areas in many places.

My biggest probem - it hurts! It hurts soooo much to move.

After about 4 days of it I went in and saw my doctor. All he said was to elevate my legs for 20 minutes a day and he gave me an antihistamine to take at night.

I'm worried though. It's so painful. My feet and legs up to my knees are swollen. My hands and elbows do not appear swollen, yet they hurt too and have a red spot on my left hand like on my legs.

When you are pregnant can you take water pills? If not.. how do you help to reduce the water retaining???

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
