At what week in your pregnancy do the doctors start checking your cervix?

Mine always started checking around my last month

I am now just over 38 wks pregnant and as yet the M/W has not performed any internal examinations to check dilation of cervix. My MW informed me that this is no longer done until either a stretch and sweep is being performed, you have gone past your estimated due date or you are showing signs that labour is iminent. Internal examinations used to be much more common but now they are kept to a minimum and only performed when necessary. HTH. Good Luck. Sandra

It depends upon what kind of pregnancy you are having. I've been at high risk, so they have pretty much checked my cervix every time i've gone.

Usually around week 36.

They start checking towards your due date.
