i think the bubbles are a baby moving. i've heard other parents describe the first movements feeling like a bubble popping or butterfly wings. my doc said after dinner lay down on ur back and u might b able to feel the baby move then because they like the sound of food moving through u.

if u want to connect with ur baby u could buy a bebe fetal heart monitor from wal-mart for $20. it's like a high powered stethescope and starting at 20 wks u may b able to hear the heart and hiccups and coughs. i'm only 18 wks and i can sometimes hear the heart with the bebe monitor

The first pregnancy you don't notice the movements early, but I would describe it as gas bubbles or butterly futtering. Don't worry the baby will start kicking & it gets anoying. I went 3 nights w/o sleep with my daughter she kicked my ribs all night. If your doc is getting a good heart beat you are fine, if you are still worried at your next appointment talk to you doc he/she may schedule a NST (non stress test) it measures the babys activity leval. And do not waste your money on the at home heart beat monitors (the ones at walmart, babies r us) you usually hear your heart only. If you do want one ask your doc. some rent them out a couple days is usually 30 or 40 dollars. We rented one last Christams when I was pregnant & my hubby let everyone hear the gallopping of our sons heart!

yes that bubbly feeling is definently the baby moving. i had the same thing but it was alot earlier on than 23 weeks. of course i'm having a boy and he's extremely active. i'm now 33 weeks and he kicks so hard sometimes, it hurts. i can even see him move from the outside. it is so neat! your doctor is not exactly right. i mean as long as your baby is moving, everthing should be fine. the only time you should be concerned is if you haven't felt any movements what so ever. when my mom was pregnant with me she said i hardly ever moved. she thought i was dead at times but i was perfectly healthy. so in my opinion you have nothing to worry about. all babies are different.

That bubbly sensation is the baby moving. With your second baby, you will recognize it sooner.

Babies in the womb are about as predictible as babies outside of the womb. The baby has its OWN timetable that the doctors can only guess at.

There is no need to be worried. From what you are describing, the baby is moving around just fine.

Oh, don't you worry sweetie. When the baby starts to grow more, you'll be able to feel him/her more. It'll get so tight in your belly, you won't feel like you can move. Imagine growing in your mother's tummy, I think it's so neat! The bubbles are probably movement from the baby if it's a new sensation you're experiencing. Good luck and happy parenting!

every baby is different. Don't worry. Mine would fell like bubbles, and some time just a qwishing feeling. It doesn't feel like a real kick until later, then they kick the crap out of you, so don't worry.
if the doctor says you should feel it,,,,,then ask him what you should be looking for?

it could be the first fetal movemant s the first ones usually feel like a gassy feeling but not every woman feels her child at the same weeks in preg. so your doc is wrong there if your worried ask your doc again to check everything out and maybe find a new doc if this one isnt willing to help you more and best of luck bbut i think the bubbly feeling you have is the baby moving.

Maybe if you're bigger, and have more fat on your tummy it would be harder for you to feel the tiny kicks. Have you had an ultrasound? If so and everything was fine then try and relax. This is my first pregnancy too, and I felt the first movements around 16wks.....so everyone's different. My friend who's on her 3rd didn't feel this one move until about 5months! So, try to calm down and call your doc to schedule another ultrasound if that's appropriate, or get in to listen to the heartbeat! Good Luck and Congrats!!!!!

Don't be worried, at the moment the baby is still able to move around freely in there. When I first felt movements, it felt like I had butterflies in my stomach. The strange thing is that we look forward with much anticipation to new things that they're going to do both before and after they're born...no sooner are to trying to get them to talk that you can't get them to be quiet! Take each moment as it comes, if you are really worried, get your doctor to take a good look at the size of the baby, but when they're ready, you'll know it.
