Is it normal to not feel the baby moving up towards my ribs, when my uterus is moving up that way. It seems there's room in there that he's not using, and he's staying really low. Could that mean that he's not growing right, and he's small? He moves a lot, my tummy's not really big either. Wouldn't he be using all the room now if he's between like 2-4pnds now, I've read, and about 15inches long or so? Thanks, I'm sure you can tell this is my 1st pregnancy!!!!

Its normal hon. Your body is changing and your baby is growing inside of your uterus. As your baby grows the room that it has becomes less and less and you will start to notice the fetus more and more as time passes. As long as you feel the baby move, have no cramps or bleeding you are totally normal and fine. Good luck I wish you well. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

yes that's completely normal. i'm 33 weeks and i just started feeling the kicks in the ribs a couple of weeks ago. believe it or not, even though you're coming towards the end of your pregnancy, your baby still has quite a bit of room to move around. my baby boy was riding low in the beginning. the doctor even said my placenta was low so they had to check on it again at my last checkup to make sure i wouldn't need a c-section but luckily it moved up. some babies just carry different. they are human, and humans are all different! there's none the same! don't worry cuz when you do start feeling those digs in the ribs, you'll wish you could go back to 28 weeks. lol. it's kind of painful to tell you the truth. atleast it is with my little one. of course he's really active too.

I am thirty weeks pregnant with my second child. About two weeks ago i was worried because i didn't feel my child move 10 times every hour, and when he did move it was always extremely low in my pelvis. I was planning to ask my doctor about this at my next visit next week, but starting yesterday he has been kicking the mess out of me up by my ribs and has been moving all day long! I was relieved. My daughter was small (6lbs.9 oz.)so maybe he is also. Or maybe he just has plenty of space and he stays where he wants to while he can. Soon he won't have enough room to choose!!!

i wouldnt worry about it you could just have a very small uterus and your baby is probably using up more of it than you think since this is your first child your not likely to be that big but if your concerned ask your doc to take a look and make sure all is ok.

If he is moving and you have been going to your prenatal visits without any issues noted, I am sure everything is fine.
Perhaps it is because that is where he is more comfortable.
If this is a change from what you had before, I would call your doctor to get some reassurance.
