Pregnancy - August 2006

Okay first things first - please don't yell at me or tell me I shouldn't have opened my legs and now I'm paying the price - so don't drink. I am simply asking a question. All of your answers will greatly be appreciated as long as I can be respected :) I only say that because I've seen some rude responses on some questions on this site.

I did find out I am pregnant 2 days ago. My wedding is in 11 days. I am told that I am about 5 weeks pregnant. I wanted to know at my wedding what will be acceptable to drink - can I drink at all? Champagne? Frozen drinks? Beer? Wine? Luckily I am not a hard liquor drinker, but I know in many things I've read that I'm not supposed to be drinking anything at all. Then I'm going on my honeymoon afterwards on a cruise and so I am guessing I cannot drink there either?

I am NOT saying that this is the end of the world and that my world will come crashing down because I can't drink. I just would like a variety of different takes on this.

I can tell that she wants me to be happy for her but i'm dissapointed partly beacuse she is just 15 and also because I am pregnant with twins an i am 20!!!!!! What should I tell her???

i also had lost one at 7 weeks two months before i came prgnant with this one. I have two very healthy little girls who are now 7 & 8, i never had any problems with those pregnancys i have had no spotting but am wondering why no heartbeat yet i thought by now you are supposed to hear one.

Has anyone had a terrible experience with this test? I found at 12 weeks that my son might possibly have Down Syndrome I didn't get the amnio because of the risk of miscarriage so instead of enjoying my pregnancy with my last child I worried the whole time instead of asking how beautiful my son was all I could ask if he was ok the minute he was delivered. I hate this test and I wanna know what you think!

I am 28 weeks pregnant and had a routine Ob appointment on Monday July 30 with a routine urine test. The nurse called today and said there was an infection in my urine called a Gram Positive Infection. Last week suffered from a slight head cold that left me feeling congested with no other serious symptoms.

I searched the internet for information on Gram positive infections but found very little that proided an answer in layman's terms. What is a Gram Positive Infection and what are the effects on a fetus at 28 weeks gestation?

When I questioned the nurse she just stated that it was a bacterial infection.

Is my uterus right up front now? Like right against the front of my belly, so when I feel something moving a little (18wks pregnant) is it the baby and not bowels or gas right there in front? It feels different then gas movements anyways. I'm not really showing much either so that makes it easier to feel maybe??!! 1st pregnancy by the way!!!!

My friend is pregnant at 39 weeks and over the past three days she said there has been a change in her discharge. It was white and watery and now it turned to a slimy hork...like a snot or a lugie from someone spitting up, that comes out a few times a day. There is no blood so she dosnt think its a mucus plug...(or can it be?) Does this mean that labour is going to be starting soon. The baby dropped 2 1/2 weeks ago. ALSO when contractions first start are they really strong or just mild and then grow stronger?

I mean how can someone just know they're pregnant. Is it a gut feeling or certain really early symptoms? I think I'm pregnant and for some reason I feel like I just know that I already am but, it is still to soon to test. I'd only be a few days along. So if women only could ellaborate for me on this question I'd truly appreciate it

i came off the pill in july. my last period on the pill was july 4-7... i had sex on the 18th july i'm sure i was ovulating at that time but i'm not positive... and 2 nights ago i started spotting brown in colour it stoped but the morning and came bk later that day and now nothing... ive got REALLY bad back ache... i can't sleep on my stomach or sides and sometimes it hurts to sleep on my back. my period shud of come yesterday but didn't.

could the brown spotting been from coming off the pill or is it implantation bleeding??

I have been married for 2 1/2 years but we have been together a total of 5 years, I am now going to have a baby and I just found out my husband has been talking with other women and he has admitted to me it being true and now he is saying he is with me just until the baby is born because he doesn't feel for me anymore which means he doesn't love me anymore, I told him he doesn't have to stick around because of the baby and that I will still let him be a part of the baby's life and that if he is not happy with me he should just leave and he says he can't leave because of the baby, he is 9 years younger than me and this is my and his 1st baby, we are still sexually active and he still is very sexual with me what is going on?

I just found out that i was pregnant, first child. I was wondering is it normal to start feeling strange sensations in your lower abdomen, sorta like slight cramping, little twinges, or anything like that. I'm only in my 2nd or 3rd week. i haven't been to the doctor yet, but according to 4 tests i'm pregnant.

went to my doctors the other day and he know's that I am going to medical school to become a doctor.And so we were talking after he told me I was pregnant.He said you can get pregnant by making out!Im like woah! I think he said if your mouth touched "something" (hehe:) and if you then made out you could get pregnant that way. True? OR False?

My husband agreed to start trying for a baby in 9 months. We have been together for 5 years.

He wants to wait so that we will pay off our mortgage while we are trying for a baby. The house will be paid off 3 months after we start trying.

He refuses to start earlier because we don’t have the extra cash for a baby now because our mortgage payments are so high.

I think about having a baby everyday and it makes me sad when I see babies, baby clothes, etc.

What makes it worse is that a friend of mine is pregnant after knowing her boyfriend for a year.

Its hard to be happy for her when I have been looking forward to having a child with my husband for years.

How do I pass time so I am not bummed out?

How do I get the idea of having a child out of my head until its time to try for one?
