Yes, it is normal. You could be starting labor contractions, or just more light contractions. Keep timing them to see if they get closer together. When they get 5-7 minutes apart, then it's time to go to the hospital.

You're probably having either Braxton Hicks contractions or you're having pre-labor pains. When I was close to my due date with my son I was walking around at 3 cm for more than a week. I had contractions that would feel like early labor but then they would peter out within an hour or so.

Yes it is normal to feel cramping when you are dilating. Its your uterus' way of making your cervix go to ten cm and soften. This way its open enough to help a baby pass through into the world.

I am jealous because I am ready to meet my baby already but I am only 19 weeks, it seems like I got a long way to go.
If you feel that kind of pain that's a good sign because that mean you are progressing towards meeting your newborn. Good Luck!!

Is this really a question you post on line?
Seems more like a question you call your doctor about, making sure your bag is packed to go to the hospital.

if you feel the cramps for
longer than an hour,
begin timing
when they get to five minuntes between

it is either the beginning of labor or braxton hicks
if it hurts really bad, probably labor.
if it is just really annoying false labor.
call your doc or go into ER just in case.
Dont try and judge whether it is real labor or not.

those are contractions. Whether they're the real thing or Braxton Hicks depends on how regular they are. If you get up, switch positions or drink water and they stop-Braxton Hicks.
If they get more frequent and longer, they're the real thing.
