Hi, I'm not pregnant yet but I have a question. Is getting an epidural painful? If you weren't to eat before going into labor would you still need to have an enema?
I am hoping to have a child in around a year or so when i know im financially set.

Baby is 6 months old and has been breastfed only and started baby foods at 4 months. I have to return to work and he will not take a bottle of formula. I don't blame him, the stuff tastes and smells yucky! I think he is still too young for real dairy products but was just curious about when he will be old enough.

Right, I have just changed from breast feeding to bottle feeding and have a few questions, can anyone help me please? (my son is 7 months old)

1. Do you always have to boil tap water first?
2. If you boil the water, can you mke the formula while the water is still hot (straight from the kettle) or do you have to wait until it has cooled down first?
3. If they drink 4oz of a 7oz bottle, can you put the rest in the fridge for later?
4. Can you make a bottle from water directly from the cold tap?
5. How many times can you reheat a bottle that was made with hot water?
6. How many times can you reheat a bottle that was made with cold water?
7. Can I make a bottle up when I go to bed and leave it in my son's bedroom in the night for when he wakes up, or does it have to be kept in the fridge?
8. If I am going out for the day, will a bottle be ok if I take it in and out the car with me all day?

Sorry for all the questions! Can anyone help me please?

Thanks!

My daughter, 2 weeks, is basically a bf baby. She did get two supplements of Enfamil (recommending by her pedi) when we thought she wasn't gaining satifactorily and it was suggested to us, but it broke my heart to give it to her. She has a good latch and sucked vigorously. She drained my breast of three ounces of milk one day. Lately, however, her bf sessions have decreased to maybe 15 mins max, vs. her usual 30. This was after she was fed by my inlaws using a (good) Avent bottle filled with expressed breast milk. They were helping us out so that we could have just a little sleep after a week of sleepless nights. Is this decreased vigor at the breast due to nipple confusion? I want to continue to bf at the breast, but the milk from the bottle is very very helpful at times. I fear it might be too late. Thanks. I'm a new mom and of course, inexperienced. Thanks.

My 2 week old daughter Kalinda is very fussy and refuses to go to sleep at night, even for an hour. When we pick her up, etc. to try and calm her, she cannot seem to calm down except for when she nurses. Of course I can't nurse all of the time, but I do give her the breast to calm her. The thing is, she drifts off to sleep but when we transfer her to her nearby bassinet, she immediately wakes and screams bloody murder. We do not know what to do. We swaddle her and believe me have tried everything. she keeps us up all night trying to get her to go to sleep for just a little bit of time. Help! The dr. said to try a pacifier, but she wants nothing of it and spits it out. If we get her to sleep using one method one day, it is guaranteed that the next day it won't work. I know that she will eventually develop a pattern, but we're so exhausted, mentally and physically. My husband works and is trying his best to be a hands on team player, but he needs his rest.

My son is 5 months old and was sleeping through the night at 3 months old. When he turned 5 monts old he now wakes up again every couple of hours. Should I still be giving him a bottle in the middle of the night or not? Sometimes I can get him to go back to sleep just by giving him his binky...and other times I can't. Any suggestions

We have a 5 month old son and just moved to a new town. We often find ourselves sitting at home doing nothing. It is really putting a damper on our relationship. If we knew of some fun things to do outside of the house with our son it would really help. I am a stay at home mom and am always here at the house. My husband works 10 hour days and on his days off we don't do anything. Our son is very well behaved and would have fun doing anything but we are stuck. Have any suggestions?

Ran off in the night with just $10,000 in travelers cheques, my credit cards, and two weeks worth of clothes and started a new life somewhere else? The doctor said the xanax would help me calm down and be able to deal with the baby better, but she still makes me crazy and I am seriously considering running away. Do you think $70,000 is enough to get you started overseas, in say Amsterdam or France or something? That's my share of my husbands and my savings account. Is it hard to find a job there? I have a degree in Early childhood education, and I have some training as a chef, but never completed the course.

It all begins at 8 A.M., her wake up. She screams bloody murder just because I come in to wash her up and change her diaper and clothing. I try to occupy her with toys and kincnacks, but that has gotten old, and she is not falling for it anymore. I sit her on the floor so i can dash to the laundry room to throw her dirty things in the bin, soon as I am out of sight..."WAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!" My son says his nerves are bad, and he's only 5. She has taken over his GI Joes and Spiderman action figures as her personal teething impliments, and cries more bloody murder when he tries to get his toys back from her. When she's awake, we all must gather about her for our rulings from the queen. No one can leave, most especially not me, so Taco Bell and the Chinese delivery guy has been my best friends lately. What can I do to make my baby stop thinking she runs everything? We pamper her to pieces, why can't she just be happy and stop whining??
