Give him a chewy bagel to chomp on. It will at least keep him distracted.

Teething is a very touchy time for a child.....Either let your child chew on a teething ring (preferably a bit cold or frozen) or something soft. Also if cranky at night , try some Orajel to freeze the gums and give them some pain relief, a bit of children's tylenol is always good too!

OK, heres some good tips. I have a little neice whos only 4 months old, but we're gearing up for the teething process. Hope this helps!!

A cold or wet washcloth

Hard, cold objects such as spoons

A Popsicle

A frozen bagel

A cold teething biscuit

A chilled plastic teething ring or pacifier (this is what my parents used for me)

Cold, slushy foods such as applesauce or frozen and slushy fruit juice
Hope this helps I posted a few additional sources below! Good luck to you!

DO NOT PUT TEETHING RINGS INTO THE FREEZER, they are supposed to go in the fridge. I found that they did help as did anbesol.
A friend swore by homopathic granules but they contained lactose so I didn't want to use them.
Good Luck, its a tough time, if all else fails, the occasional dose of calpol can give you a much needed nights sleep.

When my daughter was teething she also had a hard time ..so i asked her Dr and he said to use Teething Tablets instead of the ambesol because the gels actually toughen the gums and make it harder for the teeth to come through..so i switched and her teeth came in alot faster! Plus to take care of pain try freezing a clean washcloth and have him chew on it!

We used Hyland's Teething Tablets its homeopathic, has no side effects and dissolves instantly in an infant and toddlers mouth. They work instantly and you can give them every hour or as needed. We gave them to both of our children and they are wonderful. You can find them at walmart or drugstores and also online. It works better than orajel and things like that. Also put a washcloth in the freezer for a few minutes and let them chew on it.

Teething granules are great, and contain only natural ingredients, you should also be giving him things to chew on to help the teeth push through, nothing he can choke on though, try a teething ring, put it in the fridge so it's nice and cool on his gums.

Wet wash cloths kept in the fridge (not freezer). Lots of love and snuggles. If he's waking up at night some infant Tylenol. This worked for my daughter.

teething tablets! they are all natural and they really help. And if he gets too miserable give the poor thing some tylenol. Make sure he has cooled (fridge chilled) teething rings and what helped both my girls was rubbing their gums with my finger.
