Again, I am not asking to compare.. I just like hearing these kinds of stories and think they are cute, and I am looking forward to hearing my baby talk!!

Her first real word was "cheese". She has always been a little different :)

I remember when she was an infant saying that I couldn't wait until she could talk. Once she got started, though, she never stopped!

All of my children said DaDa first and it was usually at about 6 to 9 months

My first daughter said Chicky, which means Chicken at 11 months old.
I have a set of twin girls. The older twin said juju, or juice at 10 months and the younger twin said mily, or milk at 11 months

My son's first word was Ma-Ma-Ma-Ma around 3 1/2 months. And then Yummm shortly after

Quack, 6 months.

She did nothing but quack for about 2 months of her life. Very loudly. In public spaces, with lots of echo potentially. "You're not a duck!" was her first serious reprimand.

Geez, I'm glad that's over...

I don't have a baby yet but my first word was cookie! Yeah I know! And to tell you the truth I absolutely love cookies! All kinds! =D

Well I don't have a babies but my cousin did and the baby first word was mommy and he was 6 or7 months

Today! I took my son to Applebees and after he finished his grilled cheese he started getting a little fussy. I told him not to worry because we're some dessert. He answered me with "You better". My husband and I cracked up!

my daughters first word was dada, she said it when she was 8 months old, shortly after she started saying mama but only when she wants something. she says dada all the time.
