Baby Names - August 2007

I am currently preggo with #2 and think we hacve agirls name but stuck for one for a boy. We already have a boy Ellis so kind of like the 'surname' theme.
I like:
Riley
Spencer
Taylor

Does anyone else like these or can think of another 'surname' for a first name? (nothing too chavvy please!!)

I am having a baby girl and me and my boyfriend wan't to name her Summer the only this is she will have his last name which is Day. so her name would be Summer Day Iove it he loves it and so does his parents and most of the people I have told. except my mother she does not like it and thinks that she will be made fun of. I can't see how she will get made fun of. to me it reminds me of a beautiful Summer day. I don't know if we're crazy for wanting to name her this. I would like some opinions from all of you what do you think.

my husband, his father, and his grandfather (im sure it goes further back but just havent got that far yet) all have german names. instead of naming my son after one of them i would rather give him a strong, unique name....i have been looking on naming websites but just wanted to throw this out there and see if i get any names i havent heard. so if you know any german names for a boy lets hear em!

I am pregnant and with twins; one girl and one boy!! :) I know it would be really cute if I had the names starting the same like Kyle and Kendra but the names my boyfriend and I have agreed on are completely different. Actually my mum and grandma hate that names we our debating for the girl and I just was wondering what everyone else thought.

My friend is having a baby girl and she wants to name them after the baby's grandparents. What is a unique but decent sounding name out of Carrie, Mary, and Agnes? A first name will do but a first and middle name would be great. She wants these 3 names to be combined somehow into a pretty little girls name. Please help me! So, I have heard you should give your kid the name you always wanted (provided they are the same sex as you). But that leads me to a problem. If I named my kid Optimus Prime, Rambo, Luke Skywalker, Skeletor, He-Man, Blackbeard, or Batman, they might become the butt of jokes from other children. Does anybody think that this might become a problem? Or that perhaps the other kids will recognize the infinite badassery of those names and bow down?
