YES!! My mom is a teacher so she really gets me thinking about baby names. When someone says a name to me i think wow, That one's going to get flubbed a lot!
I have neices and Nephews with unique Names. Alysha, Zane, Zoe, Xeph, Ayden. (not all the same parents) Funny enough their middle names used to be common first names!
Mine sound boring in comparison, Adrienne (girl 4yrs) and Benjamin (boy 3 yrs) and yet to be determined baby boy due in December.

Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about. Both my parents are teachers and I'm just a couple of years away from becoming one myself. In my studies and observations I've taken the role many times and its seriously nerve racking to sit there and try to guess the correct pronounciation of all the names. Its even harder out here because I live in Southern California and you get not only the unique American names but all the unique versions of other ethnic names and beleive me there are lots. And then, on top of that class sizes are rediculous. The 20 to a class law doesn't apply for post elementary school grades which is what me and my parents deal with so on average we'll see class sizes pushing the upper 30's and low 40's in regular classes and the 60's in PE classes. So yeah, role does eat up a significant amount of class time that the students need.

it's going to be getting worse! have you seen half the cr@p some ppl here ask opinions on?!?!?
i'm sorry but good gravey some of the names i have seen give me cramps in my neck shaking my head at them.
