So, I have heard you should give your kid the name you always wanted (provided they are the same sex as you). But that leads me to a problem. If I named my kid Optimus Prime, Rambo, Luke Skywalker, Skeletor, He-Man, Blackbeard, or Batman, they might become the butt of jokes from other children. Does anybody think that this might become a problem? Or that perhaps the other kids will recognize the infinite badassery of those names and bow down?

I had originally planned to wait a while before adding to this, but the overwhelming flow of stupid answers has forced my hand.

Now then, some of you are telling me to "grow up." By the fact that you took this question seriously enough to respond to it and chastise me for it, I would advise you to "grow a brain stem."

Now then, clcalifornia or whatever your name is. Very good response. Tell me Freud, did you ever stop for a moment and think "There are thousands or bored people out there, and there are thousands of people who enjoy messing with the heads of idiots like me. Maybe the person who wrote this question is one of those people?"

My question should have been "Why are people on this site so utterly and pathetically stupid?"

"not to be mean" but how about reading the entire question before you respond, dipshit?

I very much agree with your additional comments.
COME ON PEOPLE! it is obviously one of those " I have been pondering" type of questions.
I wonder How little She-Ra would have done in school! Rainbow Bright may have been the leader of the "Mean Girl" clique.
Good question Iron Kidneys.
It saddens me that so many people actually take things so seriously. What has happened to our sense of Humor?

Clover Jane - i for my area truly love Clover. this is uncommon, yet amazing. Jane is a reliable stability to it. Finley Charles - Finley is an primary call in my suggestions. this is lovable, yet i does no longer use it. Charles is amazingly effective. Rowan James - i like the two Rowan and James, it is my customary call. If I had infants interior the destiny, they had be Bridget Alice, Carolina Lily "Callie" and Rachel Haley OR William Robert "Will", Jack Sebastian and Harrison Oliver.

I have been alive for a very long time and I have never heard that people should give a child the name that they always wanted. Maybe you made that up.

Some individuals can deal with odd names....others it hurts and they let it destroy their lives.

I think perhaps you need to post this question in philosophy or some other category.

I believe that the real question you are asking is WHY are you asking this question? What to you hope to stir up in people?
What in life makes you ask such a question?
What is up with you that you spent time asking this question?

If this holds true just think in about 10 or 12 years we are very likely to have about a million and two Hannah Montana's and couple dozen Troy Bolton's............I have a 7 and 9 year old that would die to be them!! Then there is my two year old.........no he can never name my grandchild Diego or Blue

Yes it would be a problem to name a child after any of the characters you have provided.
Children on a whole can be very cruel, especially with names.
Also don't forget that this child will grow up and then be ridiculed by others. Why have your child endure misery!

I'll tell you why people took your question so seriously...because there are parents out there who would ACTUALLY consider naming their child something this totally outlandish lol (and they are posting their "unique" name ideas on here all the time)

If I would have named my son using your method...he would probably be called wolverine lol
