We've chosen Eleanor as her first name but will call her Ellie for short.

Can anyone think of a good middle name to go with Eleanor/Ellie, I can't think of anything that goes well together?

Why such the opposition to the name Brooklyn? Especially on a girl? Yes, it happens to be the name of a city, but it could also be the names Brooke and Lynn put together to come up with the name Brooklyn. And yes, it's becoming sort of popular. Do those of you who are opposed to the name think that it is too masculine? Too associated with New York? I see it as 2 femenine names (Brooke and Lynn) put together and don't even associate the name with New York until I'm reminded of it. But that's just me. I'm due in 3 weeks and am pretty set on this name for my 3rd child, but still need to come up with a middle name.

I'd like to get opinions on both sides of the issue here. Please share.

my son and daughter-in-law plan to name a son Hays or a daughter Haley. I have mixed feelings about Hays as a first name. Tell me what you think. Of course it's not my choice, but theirs.

I was just putting some names together. My mom's name Kimberly and my mother in law's middle name is Marie. I thought Kimarie would be cute. How exactly would I pronounce it. Just in idea. Thanks.

I have a pair of dachshunds and although they are a "german" breed, we(husband) are hungarian so we named them Peti (short for Peter) and Eva. should we stick with the hungarian names for the pups? I was thinking Zsa Zsa & Etu for girls and Zoli or Attila for boys.

people spell their childrens names so different. Some of the kids at my son's preschool have the oddest spellings for their names. Such as Lisa=Leighsa
I know people want their children to have unique names but I think it just makes it hard on the kid.
