Those names are GREAT!
I have a friend whose name is Sunshine. She loves her name, too. She doesn't look like a Sunshine, but it is a kewl name. I wish that my parents were as creative.
I wanted to name my kid (if I had a girl)
Calypso
and a boy, Aquarius
however, I was talked out of it and went for an executive Ivy League sounding name. "sigh"

I like the names =) they're very cute and unique. They show your daughters are original and unique as a "rain drop" or "sun flower" and who cares what other people think they'll act the same way no matter what the name.THere is nothing wrong, your daughters are kids just like you and i were.If your name was rain drop would you be a drifferent person? No you would be you and only you.THe names you chose are original and show that your daughters are different just rain drops and sunflowers are...The names are adorable, I LOVE them!

I like the names, but as a teacher, I can see how they might be difficult in the classroom....kids can be cruel. I've noticed a lot of unique names in school these days, so kids seem to becoming more tolerant. Is Rain the first name and Drop the middle. I love the name rain...I wanted to use it for my baby spelled Rayne, but turned out I had a boy

Those are the coolest names!

for someone born in the '60s!

If it is true that you have named your girls that then I hope that they make the best of it but i have to tell you that having an unusual name sets you apart and not in a good way- I have a really different ethnic name and I always felt weird about it and no one could pronouce it right etc.

the experts say that people with easy common names are more popular than those with difficult names and are liked by their teacher more often.

yes, there are some names out there that are much worse than those
these are very pretty names and I am sure that your girls are very pretty too.
enjoy them!

doesnt matter what people say, they are your kids and you have the wonderful right to name them what you want. with that said I personally wouldnt name my kids those names but that doesnt make them bad names.....I think you named your daughters names that fit into your family so if people dont like them they can turn around and walk away, its none of there buisness.dont ever let people make you wonder if the name you picked isnt right,to weird, or vey ugly, they have no place to judge. Have a great day and God Bless you.

I think the names are very different from what is normally seen but then all of the celebrities have a tendency to name their kids with unusual names as well.

I think that those are beautiful names! Your right some people call their kids worse. Those names conger up freshness and innocence. Hey Peekaboo Street had hippie parents that waited till she was old enough to name herself..thus Peekaboo. She became a gold medal skier for the US! I think you should tell those who question you to mind your own business! Good Luck

People as a whole in this world fit into the middle of the bell curve and when someone becomes creative, or different they often like to ostracize them. It is ridiculous, it is fine to be different as long as it isn't hurting anyone. The most creative, talented inventors and people are different. They thought Einstein was retarded until he was in 5th grade .............. he was too busy with his magnificent thoughts going on in his own head to be bothered with the boring stuff in school.
