an-a-ka it is close to anika but with a ahh sound.my hubby wants it I am up in the air with it can't decide..Any suggestions would be welcome

It does sound a bit trndy but anaka is not used often at all...according to the polls I read..I know raine all of a sudden is popular ,but I have wanted that name for years, so I am torn

I think it is definitely original! I never heard of Anaka, so I'll have to roll it around in my brain for a bit. I do like Raine though and think that should be the middle name b/c right now Raine is sooo popular.

I wouldn't personally choose it, but it sounds cute. However, it kind of seems a bit too trendy. But, I haven't heard Anaka before, so maybe it is very unique. Good luck.

I love it! I had a friend named Anika (pronounced the same way you want to) and I've always loved Raine. Very chic!

I love the raine but i dont know about anaka...its pretty, and unique...but yeah. I guess I like it.

Its got a cute sound to it. I did know this baby in daycare and her name was Anika, and she was not a cute baby at all. But hopefully yours will be.

Is that pronounced like Annika? Or uh-KNOCK-uh? I can't decide whether I like it or not. Like someone else said it sounds a little trendy. It's not a bad name, but I couldn't personally use it.
