What is the stupidest name you've ever heard of? I ask this question because i'm so sick and tired of all these women giving these names to their children without even thinking about it. The #1 thing i don't like about this is there are women of my race who think it's cool to give their kids these fake ghetto names. The consequence in the long run is when your kids go in to fill out job application or apply to work in corporate America, they will have a hard time finding employment. For instance, i went to a family reunion about 18 months ago and was surprised when i discovered that i had a 13-year-old cousin named Jodeci! How crazy was that? How are you gonna name your child after a group that hasn't had a hit in years! This is an epidemic that must stop! If you know of anyone with a serious sounding name that is stupid, crazy, or otherwise, please feel free to post your comments here!!

My husband and I both want to spell our son's name differently. I like Kaleb, he likes Caleb. We can't decide!! I like Kaleb because it's a common name spelled a little differently. I don't care if people are going to spell it wrong, it will happen no matter what I name him. People are always spelling my name wrong, doesn’t bother me. So what do you think... Kaleb or Caleb??

So my hubby and I decided on 2 names that we are thinking about for the girl. However, there's still a chance for a boy and we can't choose anything.

We only have one name in mind, Angelo Francis DeMino.

We're looking for something Italian cultured. We dislike typical American names (example: Anthony, Charles, Aiden, Robert).

Looking for something heard of, but not on a daily basis.

Our last name is DeMino (Dee-Mee-No)

Amethyst Lake
Violet Blaze
Nicole Alexandrite

**All have something in common about the color purple which was my mother's birthstone (amethyst). Plus I have cherokee indian in me and I'd like to stick with nature sounding first and/or middle names. Any other suggestions welcomed.

*Alexandrites are usually a bluish green but can be found in purple.
