No more baby's for me (unless it's grandbabies!) but my Mother has always wanted someone to name their little girl Heaven Leigh. My husband wouldn't let me, says it sounds like someone in a playgirl book! What do you think?

That is a horrible name. My middle name is Leigh, but my first name is not Heaven. It sounds like a stripper name, and it would be setting up your child for horrible teasing. Kids already have a hard enough time without names like that.

All I think when I hear that name is the Heavenly Ski Resort in Lake Tahoe. Your husband was right to not let you name any kids Heaven Leigh and he's right... it also sounds like someone in playboy.
It is kinda cool your mother (or you, I dunno) came up with it, though. Very hippie, smile

It's a beautiful name. I wonder if your mother ever read the V.C. Andrews book "Heaven"? That is the main character's name. Coincidentally (or not lol) the character's nickname was Heavenly too. Still beautiful though.

I agree that it sounds like a stripper.
And in general I think Heaven is a bad name. In a way it sounds like you expect the child to die young and go to heaven.

hi, my niece's name is Heaven Lee Rose. My sister was just going to call her Heaven but my bro in law said that he liked it with Lee and Rose as her middle names so that as she got older and if she didn't like it she could pick form another name her parents have given her. then her sister was called Gracen Maree Anne. So again with the middle names for the same reason. It really is up to you and your partner what you call your kids but do be gracious and give them something else to pick from for when they get older...

I dated a guy whose daughter was named Heavenly Michelle. I thought it was a name that would get her picked on as she got older. Also I think it sounds like a porn-o name

I like Heaven alot but i'm not crazy about Leigh as the 2nd name.Why not use your Mom's name as the 2nd name?

I personally am not too fond of this name. However, you and your husband should agree on the babies name. Your mother could of easily name one of her own children this if she was so fond of it. If it was my mom, I would tell her to mind her own business and choose a name that my husband and I agree on.
