i'm 24 weeks pregnant, i spend most of thurs and most of friday in hospital with pains in my abdomin, back, and across my stomach, and sickness, due to the pain. i had blood and urine tests caried out and seen 2 doctors who concluded there was nothing wrong with me, and my pain could be due to a bug or braxton hicks, so i got allowed home. i was fine all day sat but woke this morning around 6am with the pain again across my tummy and in my back, i got them every 30-40 mins and they would go away after i got up and walked around. This lasted untill about 9am, Im wondering if these could be braxton hicks, or not as they are extremly painfull, any experience of braxton hicks would be appreciated? thanks

I've tried to be subtle about it, but she's seen it. I don't want her to get scared and think I'm hurt or anything, but I can't think of any simple ways to explain it to her. Any suggestions would be really helpful.

Okay just to be short about this, She is 21/2 years old tells me to change her diaper, could care less about going potty, and a mother-in-law who thinks I need to MAKE her go potty. The M-I-L thing is just about to really piss me off. She made 1 of her other grandchildren sit on potty for hours before letting her up! Not an option here! I just wish I knew what to do to get her trained before I really go off on M-I L and cause real family problems!

I have a 2 year old daughter and me and my husband are trying for another baby...we dont want our kids to be to far apart in age...so the perfect time is now...the bad thing is though, i havent lost the weight from my first pregnancy and im 100lbs. overweight...so my question is if can i lose weight while pregnant...IF i just eat healthy (chicken, fish, veggies , fruit, milk) cut out all the junk that i eat now and just excercise (walking) nothing extreme...do you think i would lose weight by doing that? or do you think its just bad to lose weight in general???? I just want to start eating healthy and hopefully lose weight as a result of it...tell me what you think.

It is about 4 days until my period is due. I have taken 4 pregnancy tests.....due to impatience, over the last two days and all have shown the same. A thin blue line where the positive line should be. It is faint and thin compared to the other line. All showed up straight away.

In November I found out I was pregnant, then I thought I miscarried, but later found out I was still pregnant but it was ectopic and I had to have a hormone injection to clean out the leftover tissue from my ovaries. I took my son to the doctors with me last week and he started saying that I was pregnant too, and i was going to have a baby, I didn't want to tell him, i thought he forgot, but when I told him I wasn't pregnant he asked what did I do with the baby. He is only four, but he is so very smart. I know he wants a brother or sister, and we have been trying for so long, and we were so excited when I found out I was pregnant, but we just been living day to day since I lost the baby. We didn't think about how he would take it. Now I need to explain further to him and I don't know what to say. Its not the first time I have had an ectopic, I had a bad time before he was born.

I have a 11 yr old daughter who plays football. She plays center and nose guard. She has progressed to be one of the better players on the team. She also is captain as well. Now here lies the problem. Many of her teammates have issues with her playing. The feel that it is cool teasins and berating her. she also attends school with these "savages" and they torment her on the bus. Okay, it may be simple to report them, but how do I handle the parents? Not to add a racial dimension; but I live in a predominately African american neighborhood and the kids Im speaking of have really "ghetto" parents. My wife and I have abandoned the so-called hood rules and believe in using diplomacy to solve conflict. But it is extemely hard to maintain bearing when the parent completely ignore the issue. It is also hard to coach these kids(assistant) when I know they are tormenting my kid.
