my period is 3 days late!!! my boobs have been sore!!! and some cramps on thursday/friday felt AF was coming and then no period!! took 2 hpt and both were negative!!! my period is normally like clockwok!!! is it a posssibility that hcg levels aren't high enough yet?? we've been ttc since july!! serious answers only please!!

Oh yes, it is very possible especially since your like clock work. I had taken 2 hp tests and it was negative and tossed it and then, the next morning I took the other one and it was negative so I tossed that one. I told my husband that I would of bet everything I owned that it would of been positive.I waited 3 more days and then bought the digital test and it said pregnant. I was happy but not 100% convinced that I was because the other 2 negatives were stuck in the back of my mind and wouldn't let me get excited about the one positive . I bought the same test again with 2 in the box and tested that same day and I took it and it showed negative . I was so darn confused that it wasn't funny. I was going to throw the test away and then decided to look very close and I turned the test side ways and back straight again and I saw a very faint pink line . It was so faint that when you lay the test flat like your suppose to and look over it that you couldn't see it. I waited til the next morning and did it agian but, the same thing happened, you could only see it by turning it. I made my Dr. appointment and it turned out that I was like only 3-4 weeks pregnant. My Dr. told me that the cheaper HP tests don't detect the HCG levels as sensitive as the more expensive ones . He explained why but I don't remember what he said all I was concerned about was that I was pregnant. So, if I were you I would go and buy a test like, First Response or the digital test. If you are at lest a month or more late on your period then, you could use the store brand ones . Take another test and see what those results are and then call your Dr. for an appointment. I have had a negative test before a positive test before 2 out of my 3 children. For a sure answer, wait about a week after your expected period date.

yes and make sure you give the test a few minutes - I thought mine was negative and went back to bed. when I got up later it was a def positive. Obviously I had to do another to double check as you must not read it after 10 mins as it could be wrong. Make sure you give it a few mins and do it first thing in the morning. Try again in a few days - good luck!

yes you can have a positive after a few negatives. It could also be late. Wait a few more days and if it doesn't start, make an appointment with a doctor. They can tell you for sure.
