I began using an Ovulation Predictor Kit on Dec. 18, both the control line and the result line were VERY similar. As the week has progressed, the line has been getting lighter. Would you assume I had ovulated?

On Dec. 3 I took 4 HPT which all came back positive, but then began to bleed on Dec. 6 which lasted for 3 days (It was very much like a normal period for me). This resulted in a miscarriage. My doctor informed me that miscarriages like this happen very frequently and most women assume they are just getting their monthly cycle.

The reason I am asking is because I am beginning to feel the same as I did a few weeks back. I am getting the same very mild "twinging" in my lower abdomen, fatigue, very heightened sense of smell, and nausea when I get hungry. Does anyone know if it would be possible to be pregnant again?

im 38 1/2 weeks. He said it wasnt neccessary to check for dialation yet because its still early. Is that normal or should he have checked?? I've been having cramps all the time and my lower back hurts every now and then. I'm due jan 3 and he said he was going to try to get me as close to that date as possible.

Last night before dinner I was laying on the bed chatting with my husband when I felt little popping sensations coming from my lower abdomen!!! I've never felt it before, so I waited a while to see if it might be gas but I dont think it was. This went on about every 1-2 minutes for 10 minutes or so! Im 14 weeks, could this have been my sweetie or is it still to early??

Simply untrue. Yes,there are some very lazy moms who basically just keep their kids alive but not all of us. #1 Playdates offer sociol time in VARIOUS enviroments, not the same little house or classroom day in and day out. There are also p/t school programs and little progrmas throught the city which are very affordable, which gives the kids time alone with their friends, parent free. They get the early education, sociolization skills, the praise of their hard work. They get to nap in their own beds, cuddle time. When theyre sik,mom or dad is there to comfort them, theyre not sick and miserable in a day care. When you sick, mom is all you want. All day day care is repetitive and boring.
Single parents cant do this, obviously thats understood but it dosent take welth either. We do alot of sacrificing for me to stay home. We could have two new cars,a huge house, great clothes, but our priority is our kids, not sociol status.

Okay weird I know, but when I wasn't pregnant I would simply prop my leg up on the opposing shower wall and shave away. I have tried this pregnant (I am in my third trimester) but almost slipped and fell as my balance aint so hot right now. Sitting in the tub worked okay, but my belly is huge and it is hard to get around it to shave this way. How do you shave your legs with ease during pregnancy?

I work in a WIC office as a nutritionist and have never really took notice to the shape of my 4mo infant's skull. At his doctor's appointment yesterday the nurse practitioner said that we should have him sleep on the other side because the one back side was getting a bit flat due to him laying on it all the time. I was at first worried that it could affect his brain development but was assured that the fluid surrounding his brain would stop it from getting "crowded out" and that it has enough space inside his skull. Still, I would like to help him have a normal shaped head and have been told by my co-workers that they have done a safe exercise on their babies where they would "mold" their baby's skull by gently rounding their hands over the back of his skull (avoiding the soft spot of course) every day. Anyone have any experience with this? or anything else that helps round things out a bit? Thanks and God Bless!!

My daughter is 5 months old and has been eating cereal twice a day since about 3 1/2 months. I want to make my own baby food and had read that babies should start with meats and alternatives then veggies, then fruit. I couldn't find the reason for this order, can anyone tell me why. Thanks

Now that I have your attention, I have a legit question. Why do people have children just to dump the child off in school once they turn 5 years old? We have these people making judgements about daycare, yet isn't school the same thing? Kids are in school for about the same amount of time. Just think we they get older and are involved in sports/band/choir/etc. How terrible that these children can't spend every second of everyday with their parents.
(note the sarcasm)

My sister is having twin boys. She wants the names to start with either 'D' or 'W' and she wants them to be original. She likes the name Drew and the name Wesley, but tha tis pretty much all she has to work with...she asked me for idea's but I'm dry.
Anyone feel like breaking open their treasure trove of boy names and giving me some?

A friend of mine has a baby that is about 8 or 9 months old. Last week she had a horrible bought with the flu. She was in and out of the ER for vomiting and fear of dehydration. She thinks the flu has passed, but now she says that the baby seems to lose energy and appetite in the afternoon and is not eating as much as she should. The baby has also developed an oval shaped bump on her forehead. The mother said it doesn't hurt the baby to touch it, and the bump feels "squishy" - she thought it might be a cyst of some sort. The baby has now had X-Rays and a CAT scan done of this "bump" but the Dr's are saying now it is probablly a bruise. However, there is no color to it.. it's not purple or blue or any color but flesh. Don't bruises have a color? The mother says she just feels like something isn't right with the baby b/c of the low energy in the afternoon. Any idea's what this bump could be? Could it be a cyst? or is it really just a bruise??
