I get the impression that many people on Yahoo Answers really don't take the time to understand things from a different political point of view. It seems like the response to both questions and answers is based on democrat=evil, republican=good (or vice versa). Do you have a tendency to do this?

Obama's national co-chairman, retired Gen. Merrill "Tony" McPeak, the former chief of staff of the Air Force, also raised the killing in his introduction.

"The events of this morning bring back with great clarity how important these national security issues are," he said. McPeak supported President Bush in the 2000 election, but he now says Bush lacks the intelligence that Obama would return to the Oval Office.

"We've been running a giant experiment in this country in the last seven years, testing the idea that it doesn't make that much difference if the guy in the White House is not that bright. And the results are in," McPeak said. "No matter what happens next January, there is going to be a big jump in the IQ in the Oval Office."

I think as a nation we are long - long over due for having a women Pres, and it bothers me to find my self against Hillery who I have no doubt is a smart capable person, but for the fact, is and has been, merried to Billie boy who I don't feel was a very good Pres. and further if Hillery were elected would be back in business through the back door, (no sex pun intended).

Could it be that those bible thumpers are hypocrites? For all of the rallying and abortion clinic bombings, they seem to have alot of abortions. Especially among white rural poor who are the very foundation of the fundamentalist Christians. They also have the highest rates of crime in the country, and the highest rates of poverty. Neither are very god like. More hypocrisy?

They have the lowest rates of high school grads, the lowest rates of college grads. The lowest rates of Health Insurance coverage. And the Lowest levels of literacy in the whole country. They have the highest rates of abortion, crime, and poverty. How is it that they have the shame of all of this, all in one geographic location? What is wrong with the people of the south?
