Intellectuals on the right - sort of an oxymoron really.
So would be "intellectuals on the left" if we were being honest about it.
It just so happens that the left wing puts priority on education so it seems to fit better at this moment.
Good ideas generally defy classification in politics... they are generally the ideas that prevent the right or left from ruining everything.
By today's standards, Republicans like Abraham Lincoln would have been considered leftists too...

Absolutely no "intellectual" will identify themselves as being on the right or the left. They may identify themselves as conservative, libertarian, progressive, etc. Left and right are terms for non-intellectuals and the corporate press.
Probably one of the best conservative intellectuals still alive is William F. Buckley. There are a few more obscure college professors and the like. Some may say George Will, but in my humble opinion Will is an idiot with a thesaurus.

Going by your spelling, you're NOT of "todays intelectuals"..
BTW, the right has plenty of rubes and uneducated, toothless hicks, so don't even try to go there. You're probably thinking of the wealthy businessmen from Exxon and Halliburton who know how to use war to make money.
