Could it be that those bible thumpers are hypocrites? For all of the rallying and abortion clinic bombings, they seem to have alot of abortions. Especially among white rural poor who are the very foundation of the fundamentalist Christians. They also have the highest rates of crime in the country, and the highest rates of poverty. Neither are very god like. More hypocrisy?

You may or may not like the bible belt but we hardly have the highest crime, or abortion. Poverty I may agree with but poverty is hardly something you choose is it?

If you hate religious people that's your choice but lets not blame a region for your dislike - you are engaging in the exact same hypocrisy that you accuse bible belt citizens of. The remarks you made are simply not true (except maybe poverty).

According to your link the North has the most cases of abortion....

Hardly a week goes by the news does not report some bible thumping minister is having sex with women in his congregation....
The southern baptists are among the worst of the hypocrites from what I have been told......avoid them and all the bible thumpers.....
But abortion, crime and poverty is all over the United States.....

Other way round. The same things that cause high abortion and crime rates (poverty, poor education and few prospects for an escape) tend to increase religiosity as well as social pressure to fit in. It's not a simple cause and effect.

Have you considered anything other than facts and figures?

I could write a book covering the problems you have listed but YA doesn't provide that much posting space.

Could it be that welfare actually encourages all of the above mentioned problems instead of religion? Think outside of your hate for religion for once and see things for what they really are.

Religion is all about trying to force it down other people throats all while doing as they please. Religion is garbage and shouldn't exist.
