big bashing of our government. If the technique fits the terrorist, then I am all for it!

U.S. officials knowledgeable about the CIA's use of the technique say it was used on three individuals -- Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks; Zayn Abidin Muhammed Hussein Abu Zubaida, a senior al-Qaeda member and Osama bin Laden associate captured in Pakistan in March 2002; and a third detainee who has not been publicly identified.

By looking at their chioces of candidates to be the next "Leader" of this country, to "Lead" us in a new direction, to "Lead" the US back to a positon of respect in the world, I have serious doubts as to whether they even know what the word means, much less how to identify it in an individual.

So many left wingers on this site criticize those with money that one would think that a person should be without means in order to be a good person.

democrats and republicans hold responsibility for their knowledge? Why should Bush be faulted for something that both parties were aware of?

U.S. law requires the CIA to inform Congress of covert activities and allows the briefings to be limited in certain highly sensitive cases to a "Gang of Eight," including the four top congressional leaders of both parties as well as the four senior intelligence committee members. In this case, most briefings about detainee programs were limited to the "Gang of Four," the top Republican and Democrat on the two committees.

used were tough enough?
In September 2002, four members of Congress met in secret for a first look at a unique CIA program designed to wring vital information from reticent terrorism suspects in U.S. custody. For more than an hour, the bipartisan group, which included current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), was given a virtual tour of the CIA's overseas detention sites and the harsh techniques interrogators had devised to try to make their prisoners talk.

Among the techniques described, said two officials present, was waterboarding, a practice that years later would be condemned as torture by Democrats and some Republicans on Capitol Hill. But on that day, no objections were raised. Instead, at least two lawmakers in the room asked the CIA to push harder, two U.S. officials said.

I would use another word for it starting with a b and ending with a "slap", but it is politically incorrect and I'd get reported.

"You'd freaked if you lived in the 70 & 80's we prayed in school and said the nation anthem. Guess what we had less crime back then..."

WRONG!

Violent crime has been decreasing since 1994

Honestly, don't people see that a catholic or lutheran is just as crazy as a mormon or muslim? Why does the majority of people judge others by who's imaginary friend is better? People need a major wake up call. And we need a non-delusional or aka athiest president. someone who puts actual human needs on the table rather than a deitie's needs on the budget. (faith based initiatives) what are your thoughts about this?

Here's my original post on the percent increase in inflation adjusted GDP over four year terms.

Some con came up with his own data, but he did not provide any source. Being someone who relies on facts instead of faith, I went out to look for inflation adjusted GDP per capita. That is inflation adjusted GDP divided by the population at the time.

I then took the percent increase over four year terms and ranked them. This is what I got. The supply siders ranked 8th, 10th, and 15th out of (((18)))) four year terms.

FDR (40') 73.46
FDR (32') 31.26
LBJ (64') 16.77
FDR (36') 15.79
Truman (48') 13.54
JFK (60') 12.86
Clinton (96') 12.51
Reagan (84') 11.87
Carter (76') 8.85
Reagan (80') 8.52
Clinton (92') 8.10
Nixon (68') 7.07
Ford (72') 6.40
IKE (52') 5.58
Bush Jr (00') 4.52
Bush Sr (88') 3.71
IKE (56') 3.10
TRU/FDR (44') -17.26

It sickens me that you can have religion and politics mixing. the fact that President Bush said that god would support the war in iraq. The Bush administration is using religion as a political tool to dupe un educated fools into going along with his mad plans. Education and literacy levels are going down across america, an uneducated person is a dosile person.

The CIA claims that they destroyed the interrogation tapes to protect the identity of the interrogators. Is it possible that the Agency does not know how to digitally alter the tapes to accomplish this, a skill that most 12 year olds have? Or do they believe as is fashionable with the rest of the administration that the American people are just simple minded congenital idiots and will accept whatever story they are told. .

Why is this not an argument for better gun control? And before you answer, please note that "gun control" and "gun ban" are NOT synonymous. Gun CONTROL is a system that keeps guns out of the hands of as many crazy people as possible. It's a screening process, not a revocation of every gun license in the world.
