It`s all about manipulation...and you know it. While the republicans stand on principle and accept their losses, the dems act as idealistic, opportunistic leeches.....and wail when they do not get their way.....But I digress.......What do you think ?

For example, I'm called anti-American because I'm liberal? WHAT? Why would someby wrongfully assume something about me before I speak?
Or that I'm an alarmist because I'm liberal. Once again, wrong.
Or that I'm a socialist because I'm liberal. Not wrong, but pretty far off. I want a mixed, merit-based social/capital economy.
Or that I'm pro-abortion because I'm Liberal. No, I'm pro-choice and I think the fed shouldn't get invloved, but I'm against abortion.
Or that I don't support the troops. Wrong again.
Or that I'm anti-gun because I'm liberal. Wrong.
Or that I party because I'm liberal and a high school student. Still wrong.
Or that I'm aethiest. Wrongish. I won't say there is a god, and I won't say there isn't. I'm not arrogant enough to say that I should know.

And yet people still think they "know" me better than me, even though they haven't even met me personally?
Why? And why continue? And why only in the politics section?

Here is a basic run-down of the Canadian Universal Health Care.
Do you think it's sounds like a success?

Canadian Health Care

Hey Guys; I seen on the news up here in Canada where Hillary Clinton
introduced her new health care plan. Something similar to what we have in
Canada. I also heard that Michael Moore was raving about the health care up
here in Canada in his latest movie. As your friend and someone who lives
with the Canada health care plan I thought I would give you some facts about
this great medical plan that we have in Canada.

First of all:

1) The health care plan in Canada is not free. We pay a premium every month
of $96. For Shirley and I to be covered. Sounds great he. What they don't
tell you is how much we pay in taxes to keep the health care system afloat.
I am personally in the 55% tax bracket. Yes 55% of my earnings go to taxes.
A large portion of that and I am not sure of the exact amount goes directly
to health care our #1 expense.

2) I would not classify what we have as health care plan, it is more like a
health diagnosis system. You can get into to see a doctor quick enough so he
can tell you "yes indeed you are sick or you need an operation" but now the
challenge becomes getting treated or operated on. We have waiting lists out
the ying yang some as much as 2 years down the road.

3) Rather than fix what is wrong with you the usual tactic in Canada is to
prescribe drugs. Have a pain here is a drug to take- not what is causing the
pain and why. No time for checking you out because it is more important to
move as many patients thru as possible each hour for Government
re-imbursement

4) Many Canadians do not have a family Doctor.

5) Don't require emergency treatment as you may wait for hours in the
emergency room waiting for treatment.

6) Shirley's dad cut his hand on a power saw a few weeks back and it
required that his hand be put in a splint - to our surprise we had to pay
$125. For a splint because it is not covered under health care plus we have
to pay $60. For each visit for him to check it out each week.

7) Shirley's cousin was diagnosed with a heart blockage. Put on a waiting
list . Died before he could get treatment.

8) Government allots so many operations per year. When that is done no more
operations, unless you go to your local newspaper and plead your case and
embarrass the government then money suddenly appears.

9)The Government takes great pride in telling us how much more they are
increasing the funding for health care but waiting lists never get shorter.
Government just keeps throwing money at the problem but it never goes away.
But they are good at finding new ways to tax us, but they don't call it a
tax anymore it is now a user fee.

10) My mother needs an operation for a blockage in her leg but because she
is a smoker they will not do it. Despite her and my father paying into the
health care system all these years. My Mom is 80 years of age. Now there is
talk that maybe we should not treat fat and obese people either because they
are a drain on the health care system. Let me see now, what we want in
Canada is a health care system for healthy people only. That should reduce
our health care costs.

11) Forget getting a second opinion, what you see is what you get.

12) I can spend what money I have left after taxes on booze, cigarettes,
junk food and anything else that could kill me but I am not allowed by law
to spend my money on getting an operation I need because that would be
jumping the queue. I must wait my turn except if I am a hockey player or
athlete then I can get looked at right away. Go figger. Where else in the
world can you spend money to kill yourself but not allowed to spend money to
get healthy.

13) Oh did I mention that immigrants are covered automatically at tax payer
expense having never contributed a dollar to the system and pay no premiums.

14) Oh yeh we now give free needles to drug users to try and keep them
healthy. Wouldn't want a sickly druggie breaking into your house and
stealing your things. But people with diabetes who pay into the health care
system have to pay for their needles because it is not covered but the
health care system.

I send this out not looking for sympathy but as the election looms in the
states you will be hearing more and more about universal health care down
there and the advocates will be pointing to Canada. I just want to make sure
that you hear the truth about health care up here and have some food for
thought and informed questions to ask when broached with this subject.

Step wisely and don't make the same mistakes we have.

Dean

I bet half of you clicked on this just to tell me what a stupid, absurd idea that is, but think about it. If you have strong political views, are you guilty of insulting or attacking people who disagree with them? If I'm a republican I can call all democrats anti-American tree hugging socialist hippies, and I'll get a bunch of thumbs up from other republicans, even though I clearly just insulted an entire group of people. If I'm a democrat, I can call all republicans war mongering gun toting hillbilly neocons, and get a bunch of thumbs up from other democrats, even though, I just insulted an entire group of people.

So why do we say we want the freedom to choose, but then we attack people who disagree? Why cant we just learn to accept that we're in a country where people are going to have different political views, and we're free to do so? And if we are going to get into politics, why cant we discuss them maturely? Why do we have to get so pissed, and resort to personal attacks?

it's basically this: if there's some sort of major catastrophe anywhere in the world: congress gets thrown out, and bush and a select few others retain full authority. bush also takes control of all intra-u.s. governments. that means he takes control of all federal, state, and local governments/governmental organizations, and also takes control of the private sector. should this come around election time, the elections are cancelled, and bush continues to be dictator indefinitely.

i'm still waiting to see how conservatives will spin this one in defense of him. i really don't see how anyone could.

There is a movement that thinks so, but their views might stem from fanatics whose productions could be based on biased research.

Most of the world doesn't think so, but their views might stem from the productions of the mass media, which could be invalid since the media is influenced by elite individuals who could have ties to powerful people in the government.

If you wish for your word to be worth anything, you have know your opposition's case before stating your opposition to it. Do you know the case that the mass media has made against the notion that 9/11 was an inside job? Do you know the case that the 9/11 truth movement has made for it?

I'm tired of it, and there are Jews in my family. It is all we hear. I don't need to be forever reminded "never again".

The Irish suffered (nearly starved to death). The Blacks suffered (just as much if not MORE than Jews)..and other groups and races and ethicities suffered badly also.

For some of us, we hear it everyday; that Jews are no better than anyone else; that antisemitism is an overused expression, and they wonder why the police seem afraid of us.

Well, listen, some people just do not like Jews. Just as some do not like Blacks, or Poles, or Middle Easterners, or Russians.

But we are unable to create legislation that will MAKE people like other people.
No I don't want to see ANYONE HURT or discriminated against.
but that includes EVERYONE.
Not just Jews.
Enough already
Please!!!!
We need to be embracing others rather than accusing them of antisemitism which by the way may be that they just don't
LIKE US !!

Further, It turns out that the hottest year on record for the US is not 1998, but 1934.

That's right, we are no warmer now than we were almost three quarters of century ago, while CO2 levels have increased how much?

The Eco-Nazis will do anything to advance their fraud to scare the US into allowing the third world to plunder the US economy.

I read in the 1980's how Reagan brought the Evil Empire down by outspending them. The USA, like it has for most of it's history incurred some DEBT. Do you se the Soviets around? This was money well spent.

Of course the LIBS in the 1980's were saying the same things they are saying now "Generations to pay off"! We scaled back the military, and despite Clinton's MASSSIVE tax hikes the Private Sector, BIG BUSINESS, erased our debt in short fassion.

Since Bush took office 9/11, Katrina and the War on Terror have taken place. This costs the government money. Yes, we have debt. Like in the 1980's, this is money well spent and it won't take generations to pay off like the FEAR MONGERS on the left are saying!

Wouldn't you like Hilary Clinton to choose Barrack Obama as her running mate if she wins the nomination?

I have heard arguments against Hilary choosing Obama. They say she'll need to choose a Southerner, or a white man, or someone totally uncontraversial. I've also heard they just don't like each other.

But I still think they would make a great pair that would energize the voters.

if you say "She won't win" enough times it will magically come true? Is that the strategy? Sort of like a prayer circle where a miraculous recovery happens because of the power of prayer. Hmm... Is that mantra, and relying on old unproven stories that people are already bored with, and calling her a socialist when no one believes that but the neocons, going to do the trick?

If that's going to be the extent of the Republican strategy to beat Hillary then they are in BIG trouble.

Okay - ATTACK, tell me what a devil she is. Tell me how the Republicans are going to beat Hillary Clinton.
