Generally Republicans support the ideology that the Union is important and that all people are created equal.
Democrats are pro-slavery, anti-civil rights and tried to rip the United States into multiple nations more than once going so far as to go to war in the attempt.
If you believe that Patriotism is maintaining and supporting the United States Constitution, the Declaration of independence and keeping this nation together as a single unit then I would have to say YES, Republicans are more patriotic.
If you believe that we should be able to change things whenever we feel like it without regard to the original foundations of this nation is being patriotic because it supports "freedom" I would have to say that the oppression of people on Ethnic reasons by the Democrats still favors the Republicans.
Yep, between the two Republicans are more patriotic.
Now if you add some "third" parties in that mix the republicans might lose, but, against the slave mongering anti-civil rights Democrats Republicans have to win.

I don't think you can label one party as being more patriotic. Both parties believe they are being patriotic. However I am disappointed that the two parties are at each others throats so much. I believe the main thing that has weakened this nation the most in recent years is that it is so divided. Both parties attack the other and claim that they are anti American. Many kids are growing up hearing horrible things said about the government and horrible things about the parties who attack the government. Many kids are loosing their patriotism because of the ugly picture being painted by politicians and harsh opinions. Both parties are patriotic but Republicans are more known for their foreign relations and global issues. The Democratic party tends to look inward on the nation and local issues.

no....in your mind maybe, but not even generally.....I'm sure that if there are 100,000,000 voting Americans, there are many many very patriotic Democrats...why do you think they bother to have a party? Why do you see Democratic senators, rep's, judges, mayors, councilmen, governors, sherrifs, etc, etc....Just because you happen to be a believer of Bush, that does not make you all-seeing. A 2 party system evolved because of a need to provide a way to protect the way we vote for candidates....there is a major difference in the way people think...I would say that there is a good reason to be thankful that Republicans exist and I'm a Democrat...if we just had one party, then we wouldn't be much different than the old USSR

I believe both parties are equally patriotic and they generally think that their way is whats best for the country. whether or not we agree or disagree does not make them any less patriotic.

Why do we keep asking question that divide the nation. We should be working to bring law into effect that benefit the whole of the nation. IE to ban all forms of lobbying, all elected officials shall have their vote counted, and shall be required to vote even if over seas. Congress pay 40k a year with benefits that equal the middle class!
I could go on but you all see my point. We need to stop calling ourselves Rep, Dems, Ind, and start calling ourselves the American people. We need to work for the better of this country instead of letting people like G Bush LIE about IRAQ and continue to LIE about IRAQ! These so called private contractors have drained this countries financial backing. This just goes to show how things will look in the future if we let contractors handle things!
im done, because there will be some REP cons that will give me a thumbs down because they blindly follow the LIER in office! Sorry ;lkj ;lkj;

How patroitic was it for the republicans to resist investigating 911 for more then a year? What was so patroitic about the fact it was a cover up?
Why weren't the FBI agents who arrested Moussaoui called to testify before the 911 commisssion?Maybe because they would have stated publicly that they requested FISA warrants that were denied by FBIHQ which obstructed their terrorism investigations?
TO BE A TRUE AMERICAN PATROIT YOU SHOULD WANT(AND FIGHT FOR) WHAT AMERICA HAS ALWAYS STOOD FOR!!!!
TRUTH AND JUSTICE!
The report by the 911 commission is nothing more then a cover up of the real events of 9/11/2001!Until there is a transparent investigation into it America is NOT a true democracy any more!

Patriotism is defined as love of and devotion to one's country. In that context, both parties are equally patriotic. The difference lies in the fact that republicans show more nationalism and the democrats show more concern for the ideals that the United States was based upon. Both are equally relevant.

Generally speaking.... Yes.
Most patriotic Democrats are simply Republicans that haven't figured out who the people they support really are.
