The freedom to travel of more than 100,000 Americans placed on “watch” and “no fly” lists is being restricted by the Bush-Cheney regime.

Citizens who have done no more than criticize the president are being banned from airline flights, harassed at airports’, strip searched, roughed up and even imprisoned, feminist author and political activist Naomi Wolf reports in her new book, “The End of America.”
During one preboarding search, a TSA agent told her “You’re on the list” and Wolf learned it is not a list of suspected terrorists but of journalists, academics, activists, and politicians “who have criticized the White House.”

Another example of the land of the free becomming a police state? What will it take for the majorirty to wake up?

America was once nothing more than a series of insurgencies fighting a vastly superior military force for independence.

Do you think the Iraq War is about bringing freedom to Iraqis, or is it more about creating a vast market place for Bush’s cronies?

Has America lost her way? If so, where do you think we lost it?

I don't care if it's CNN, NBC, FOX NEWS, it's just
blah blah blah blah
blame blame blame
conspiracy yadda yadda yadda

If I was a U.S. enemy and watched any of the news shows, I would surely get a good laugh and think that Americans minds were media-controlled.

What about you? Are your opinions really yours, or formed by the news you get?

I find that whenever I come onto Yahoo Answers especially on the Political Page to answer queries since I have specialized in Political Science and International Relations, I find only one thing,Americans are all over the place asking direct and indirect questions related to the Iraq war in fact obsessively. I was here a month back,5 months back same thing as if all other topics have taken a backstage this is what they mostly ask. Why this obsession? first I saw religion is being taken seriously ,outcome of the war perhaps but it is being taken too seriously by Chrisitians,Muslims and all alike, Politicization of Religion and questions related to War and Racist and Xenophobic questions being raised and what not but everything directly and indirectly leading to the same thing, the WAR, is this an obsession?

Isn't it hypocritical that the liberals are concentrating on Senator Craig's sexual life when the last big sexual scandal involved a sitting president who:

-used cigars as sexual aides
-had sex in the oval office
-repeatedly lied about it
-lied to a FEDERAL GRAND JURY
-told the american public "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, monica lewinsky!"
-was accused of rape by another woman

The liberals said "It is just sex."

Isn't this a hypocritical statement?

Any ideas?

Would he be actively supporting the war and trying to convince young people they should serve with honor and loyalty or would he be against one man killing another .

Since he is not around all we have to go on is his love of mankind and his turn the other cheek and let he who is without sin cast the first stone .

So I wonder how christians reconcile the obvious position that Jesus would be against this war .

Why is this part of a candidates platform for consideration .

It does seem like the ultimate slight not to recognize that some people are born who love those of their own gender .

How would you feel if people suddenly decided it was no longer ones right to get married in your 50's .

After all marriage is to bring forth children in Christian religions and to raise them properly .

No more marriages for folks who are going to remain childless or do not adopt .

EXCERPT FROM ARTICLE:
Fred Thompson, an actor and former Tennessee senator, ended the suspense Thursday and said he'll declare his candidacy for the Republican presidential nomination on Sept. 6.
Thompson said he'll make it official in a webcast and then tour Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. He'll also travel to Florida and home to Lawrenceburg, Tenn.

**It's about time. I will be watching closely to see if he can offer anything different than what these tired, warmed-over GOPers have.**
