Fred is an old, fat, well-off white guy that has sided with all the other well-off white guys because currently that's where the action in the GOP is. Siding with the rich and well connected has always been the royal road to success. Why bother with the American wage-earner when they're such losers...and, a lot of them still vote for the shmucks that are reaming them in the shorts because the TV preachers tell them that Jesus wants them to get reamed in the shorts. Any working class guy that votes for any current republican has to be nuts. Thompson and the rest of the slicky boy GOP bandits running for the office of 'Don Corleone' of the United States have zero interest in the incredable shrinking middle class, much less the 'less than average pay' working class. They're NOT going to listen no matter how much you attempt to get their attention that something is way wrong in America. Vote for any Democrat and then nail those bastards to their chairs and force them to work for 'US'....not the transnational corporations or the Jesus freak right. Power to the people!

He is a politician and NOT in the good sense. I think he wants everyone to believe he is a man of the people but the real question ought to be - which people? If he is a politician, when was the last time a politician actually told the whole truth and nothing but the truth? I am still not convinced of ANY of the candidates that have thrown their hats into the ring yet, including him!

It's all about image, isn't it? I have heard that Fred rides in a limo till he is just a few blocks from a public appearance, then he jumps in his beat up red pickup to actually drive into the public's view. Does that sound like a man of the common people or someone who wants people to believe he is a man of the common people? I'd say that makes him an elitist hypocrite.

I believe he won't live to see the election. Just a hunch. I think the rigors of campaigning will be too much for the old body to take.
