Indeed! From where we sit it would appear they expect such an act of God from their President.

Where have you been? The invasion of Iraq was in March 2003, not "a few months" after the Twin Towers bombing. And al Maliki has been in his position less than a year. It took him a few months (big surprise) to gather enough political power to be able to rein in some of his tentative supporters, and it's only been a matter of weeks since he's been able to work on groups like the Mahdists. Considering how many different groups he has to get to work together, I think you're asking a bit much. Gamblers don't quit the game just because every hand isn't a straight flush.

LOL. Because he is saving those awesome powers to create more natural disasters for his plan of ethnic cleansing on US soil. He is waiting for more people to return to New Orleans so he can finish what he started with sending Katrina. After that he is going to take control of the minds of terrorists so they will fly more planes into US landmarks so he can get control of more oil and scare more US citizens. That should take him to the end of presidency then he is just going to sit back and do the evil laugh as he enjoys the empire he has created. And with all that he is way too exhausted to use his super powers of weather control on Iraq.

Imagine the power Republicans would have if they could just wipe out everything they dislike with a hurricane. I feel we need to end the rules of engagement and the UN control, turn our boys lose and let them win this war!! Did you know that when they are about to raid a suspect house in Iraq that they have to knock first and announce they are American soldiers!!? No wonder we have lost so many! I blame the whiny liberals and the UN for that slaughter!
OpinionatedKitten, what the h? What did global warming have to do with any of this!!? By the way, did you know that in the 1920's the newspaper headlines where crying about global warming and melting ice caps? It is nothing new and for the record. Not all scientist believe that global warming is real and surely not 99% of them! It is pure and simple junk science!! Auntie made this statement because the liberal socialist left has blamed President Bush for Katrina destroying New Orleans and the bridge collapse. I think some of you really need to read more.
By the way, this is complete sarcasm incase you actually think we think this way. Silly liberals, incase you haven't noticed President Bush has been blamed for pretty much everything from Hurricane Katrina to the bridge collapsing.

I've wondered this same thing. If Bush has the power to create hurricanes, forest fires, and even cause bridges to collapse...it would seem he would just create those things in Iraq and make himself a hero.

You are obviously engaging in some neoconservative delusional fantasy that gives Bush the power to control the weather. He can’t even handle federal emergency and recovery services for Americans who are victims of natural disasters.
If it were true that only conservatives were fighting this war and if they were fighting it with only their money and if it were only the international reputation of conservatives that was being trashed by this fiasco, then I might be less concerned. Of course, none of that is true.
