Is oversimplification and an inability to see what your own party is doing symptomatic of cons? Because pork is not solely owned by liberals. One of the most glaring examples of pork was that Alaskan bridge to nowhere, the bridge in Alaska would connect the town of Ketchikan (population 8,900) with its airport on the Island of Gravina (population 50) at a cost to federal taxpayers of $320 million, by way of three separate earmarks in the recent highway bill. At present, a ferry service runs to the island, but some in the town complain about its wait (15 to 30 minutes) and fee ($6 per car). Don Young and Ted Stevens, both Republicans pushed this massive boondoggle, which is what you call it when it goes past pork.

So were you seething when you wrote all this??? As long as our politicians and our citizens replace hate with compromise and understanding, (that doesn't mean acceptance), our great country will forever be in limbo, and sliding downward. If people aren't willing to give and take instead of getting bogged down in knowing what is right for everyone else and freely passing judgment all of the time, we won't accomplish anything. Until enough people realize that we don't need to take sides, but eliminate them, nothing will ever change. Why do you think that acting all righteous actually makes you that??? For the record I don't believe in either political affiliation as they are both guilty of the same uninformed judgements and crass generalities about the other, it's really sad. Our constitution was written with a broad pen for a reason, it was to represent many of differing opinions and provide them with a voice. So sad that we have so many who are willing to think they are all better than that and know how everyone should live their own lives. Solidairity or die! ps maybe you thought what you wrote was funny, hate and intolerance isn't so funny, it just keeps men from rising to a higher level of humanity.

You have to be able to ignore obvious facts and spout name calling talking points without thinking.

You have to believe that war is never the answer, with the exception Bosnia.

You have to believe that America is evil and you have to apologize to all those who oppose America.

You have to think it is "brave" to have your leaders tear down the Presidential office and this country for your ideals.

You have to believe that "supporting the troops" is calling them murderers of 600,000 (grossly inflated number) innocent Iraqi's and that they are not good enough to get the job done in Iraq.

Most importantly.... you have to always be able to find someone else to blame for your irresponsibility!

The list is really endless.

18. You have to believe that Hugo Chavez as the life-long leader of Venezuela, ruling by decree, jailing-murdering-expelling the opposition, nationalizing his companies, shutting down media outlets, threatening the US, insulting other world leaders, intimidating the rest of South America to follow his lead and inviting terror groups to train in his country represents a more functional, more benevolent democracy than the United States.
