That Bush and Blair were wrong to invade Iraq, causing directly or indirectly the loss of 600,000+ lives, and should be held accountable in an appropriate court?
That Israel in its actions against Lebanon and Gaza, acted with grossly excessive force? That the media need act with greater responsibility
That Islam needs to accept the need for change and to distance itself from the fanatical zealots whose sole agenda seems to be death and destruction
People in the UK are force-fed a diet of militant muslims here and abroad, marching, chanting, burning flags, bearing banners of hate. The measured response we hear from the muslim community is 'this is our religion' or 'you are ignorant' or 'islam is perfect. will of Allah.no need change!'.The spectre of muslim women in English towns covered head to toe and wearing the Niquab, has the same cultural resonance as Swaztikas instead of poppies for remembrance day. It is associated with fury and hatred towards the west from muslim countries

I think the fact that we in the U.S.A. are guaranteed freedom of expression is a beautiful thing, and that a burning flag is probably the most extreme representation of that freedom under any government.

In this context, doesn't that make flag burning a rather stupid thing for someone who DOESN'T like the U.S.A. to do? If flag burning is banned, then won't it BECOME an anti-U.S.A. gesture?

I always thought anyone who burned a flag in anything other than celebration of American Freedom was undermining their own argument in the act!

I've never burned an American flag before, but I would do it in celebration since it is legal.
If it were banned, then I would do it in protest.

Also, isn't that the only respectful way to dispose of an old flag? You aren't supposed to throw them away...

Of course, there are not that many wealthy people in the U.S. that would give republicans so much support. What else helps the republicans stay in power?

a family was going on vacation and asked his neighbor to watch his house while they were gone. The last day that they were gone the dog comes home dragging the neighbors poor rabbit through the mud. The man manages to get the rabbit from the dog & washes it. The rabbit is nice and clean and smells so nice, but its dead!! worrying about what the neighbor will say he takes it back to the neighbors house and puts it back in the cage. He figures he will tell the neighbor that it must have had a heart attack or something.
The family gets home and comes over to see how everything went. Fine he says, no problems. The neighbor askes "did anything weird happen while we were gone?", "No, he responds, "why do you ask?"
"Well, before we left the kids rabbit died and we burried it in the back yard, its now back in his cage... Sure sure smells nice though!!""

I think that blacks should be paid for the 300+ years of enslavement, racism and prejudice. As far as I know, affirmative action is all but dead, and there is no federally funded ***** college fund. And to top things off, there are no decent schools for black people to be prepared for life.

The country benefited too much from slavery. This way everyone benefits from a well educated citizenry.
