I am a Democrat. I do not think they should come home now, Give the Iraqi PM a private timetable to get his Sh*t together, If he can't within timetable...SEE YA!...Then take 10% of total once per month and re-deploy to Afghanistan and catch the real Terrorists....In your question you said come home an NOT Fight....As if they are fighting now....I am not being a smart but however, You do realize they are not getting to fight now...They get to form roadblocks and get blown up, they get to drive on dirt roads and get blown up, they get to search people at checkpoints and get blown up...They are just targets now ...We have to use our military smarter. I am sick of them getting killed by ghosts that they never even got to face on the battlefield......The iraqis need to do the security...Our guys go after 3 months of training...The Iraqis have been training for 3 years and can not get it....What is up with that?

A democratic military like that of the USA should not be fighting some few lobbyist wars. Iraq war is never part of American national interests but its true a war for money oil and Israel ppl who get killed nothing out of this war why.

I think the military is doing a great job, a much needed job. I do wish they were home and safe. But that's not the way of the world. When their job is complete, i hope they return to a thankful nation.

Without a hegemony in the area we, as well as Europe, will be overwhelmed with Islamic terrorism like is getting a foothold in France; also "everything" we touch eat or wear is created by oil for which there is no universal substitute.

Nancy Pelosi does, or doesn't, depending on the day for this liberal queen of flip-flop. Here's a quote from when she supported the war in Iraq:

"As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, I am keenly aware that the proliferation of chemical and biological weapons is an issue of grave importance to all nations. Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." - Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998.

Does anyone else see irony in this question?

The military is has long been the US peace-keeper. I know this is not what you learned in school. I'm sorry.

Think about it where will all those terrorists go if we leave Iraq and Afghanistan? You think they will just go home to thier mud huts? I think not. I think they would be here on our soil fighting all of us.

yes i think that the military should come home. but you have to think here to. so we leave there so they can make it here with bombs. we can stop there before they have a chance to leave the paper there.

they should stay, they need to "protect" our country, I mean, hell, we are but a super power. we could've just bombed that country to smithereens, instead this GWII(George Bush II= Gulf War) wants us to believe that we need to help this country get back on its' feet. This is coming from a Republican who believes that government shouldn't step in...........why are republicans saying this yet believe that our help is needed in Iraq. Are we trying to make these people christian or something. forget that. people are dying for no reason. if you saw two people fighting in the middle of the street, would seperate them when you dont' know the origin of their argument?

I keep hearing that they can come home when the job is done, but I don't think this job will be done. but we can rest assured the population will be so depleted of so many young ones the jobs will be plentiful.......Oh, but wait, they will be replaced by immigrants, damn........Oh, well I guess we're going to hell in a handbasket. this country will never be changed, they just want to kill americans, why are american troops getting killed while delivering food to the locals, becuase they don't care if you feed them, they just want you out of there. let them be. or drop a fat one on them
