My state is having it on the Nov. 7 election. Well, I was talking to my liberal roommate(white male) on how we should keep it. His best argument was that if a minority wanted to go to a great college, well they could not because they were usually raised in an evironment (inner city detroit for example) with not high as quality teachers. So I asked him about the white kid that grows in the same environment. He said that there are not that many. WTF??? So, do you, have a better argument to keep affirmative action?

Look at this article from the New York Times. If you read and take the article for face value. . . Why would the New York Times run an article that confirms (in the years leading up to the 2003 invasion ) Iraq had enriched uranium, secret nuclear research facilities, tabun and sarin, nerve agents etc etc. This is not the New York Times I thought I knew. Are they trying to make the Republicans look like they were telling the truth about why we went into Iraq?

is exactly what the terrorist want:

This from a report where terror leaders were interviewed about why they support the Democrats.

WND read Pelosi's remarks to the terror leaders, who unanimously rejected her contention an American withdrawal would end the insurgency.

Islamic Jihad's Saadi, laughing, stated, "There is no chance that the resistance will stop."

He said an American withdrawal from Iraq would "prove the resistance is the most important tool and that this tool works. The victory of the Iraqi revolution will mark an important step in the history of the region and in the attitude regarding the United States."

Jihad Jaara said an American withdrawal would "mark the beginning of the collapse of this tyrant empire (America)."

Yeah Democrat! Good plan!

By law, the troops are not allowed to openly criticize Bush. The troops are the one who is fighting and risking their lives. If they are against or for the war, don't you think they should have the right to at least speak their minds?

What do you think?

so why are the dems pissing on Reps for supposedly supporting gays, while according to history, it was the dems that wanted rights for gays and all that stuff? wasnt it nancy pelosi who was marching in parades where NAMBLA had representation?
so if the Reps supposedly support them, its like gay people calling Reps gay. no? dont worry dems, the gayest of gays will always vote for you.

1 that was 9-11..by islamic terrorists
We could class the FBI building also..but it was done by american fanatic.

My point is simple:
13 years occured from one attempt to the other.
Are we any safer today? if so, prove it.

Has our tax dollars gone to more technology to better detect and classify a terrorist attack?

i can not grip the fact that we are any safer because of airport security or border control, and anything else we attempt.
These terrorists have all the time in the world. is that not clearly evident in the 13 year span between tower attacks.

Why should we have to give up civil rights and lose alittle freedom to gain nothing? I want to know one other thing also.

Were is the proof that all of this is working? 630 billion in borrowed money seems alot to know one thing..we are not any better off.

I intentionally mispelled his rat infested name wrong because he doesn't deserve to be called an american. This spineless american zero is one of many al Qaida conspirators entrenched in this great nation of ours. I wish his unfortunately mother would've taken her fictional right and killed that demon seed.
Any US soldier that turns on any US soldier was never really a soldier in the beginning. But a yellow-green flem you cough up for it will bring the whole body down.

Bush has admitted that there were no WMDs:
In a speech before the World Affairs Council of Charlotte, NC, on April 7, 2006, President Bush stated that he "fully understood that the intelligence was wrong, and [he was] just as disappointed as everybody else" when U.S. troops failed to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

So it is confirmed that there were no WMDs in Iraq that were the reason we went to war. Weather Bush knew that or not is up for dabate. But if this is the truth, then what do these satatistics say?

Media source, Respondents believing evidence of WMD had been found in Iraq since the war ended
Fox 33%
CBS 23%
NBC 20%
CNN 20%
ABC 19%
Print media 17%
PBS-NPR 11%

Do you think that this says anything about the credability of these new stations? Are the news stations many call the "liberal media" actually informing their audience better? I've always thought PBS was a very good news source, and they appear to be the best at informing their viewers

This is a serious question. Haggard resigned his job as the leader of the an evangelical group in Colorado due to allegations of sexual misconduct with a male prostitute.

It is known that Haggard is against gays and gay marriages.

Does this mean Haggard is gay or he just likes sleeping with men? And if he is gay, does this mean he is against himself??

I see a lot of rhetoric regarding this issue. Despite the fact that our daily lives DEPEND on socialism to function.

Do you have ANY insurance? Insurance IS socialism. Everyone puts their money into the pool, and only those who need to use it (Their house burns down, car gets wrecked, etc.) do so.

National Health cre system. America is the ONLY industrialized nation that doesn't have a viable healthcare system. That is why we rank in the LOW 30s. We are no where near the top in even Infant Mortality. republicans don't want you to abort the baby, but they don't care if it is born alive and healthy? Damn, what hypocracy!

Democrats don't want to destroy Capitalism, it does that all by itself without social programs to ensure it continues to function. Capitalism concentrates ALL the wealth into the hands of a few. In order to preserve Capitalism, you HAVE to redistribute SOME of the money back to the bottom. If no one has money at the bottom, no one will buy anything!
