Hey hey hey hey now they can spin this!!!
He wasnt strangling her, he was trying to help her put a necklace on when a fly went past her face and she reached up to slap it and he got scared that she was trying to him and not the fly, so he ducked and accidently pulled really tight on the necklace and it was about to break and he didnt want that to happen, so he put his hands around the chain(which happened to be around her neck) to keep it from snapping as he fell.
