It was not just an "encounter", it was a 3 year paid affair! The male prostitute faced an ethical dilemma when Haggard began to push for the gay marriage ban in Colorado. He revealed the affair because he couldn't tolerate the hypocrisy of this Republican preacher and his movement to hurt other gays!

If you're an evangelical christian- I'm figuring that you can only rationalize this one way. That Haggard is being controlled by the devil. And, if a leader of the evangelical christians can be controlled by the devil, and Catholic Priests sexually abuse young boys, then they too must be controlled by the devil.
Do any religious people ever question the MEN (not God) that are telling them what to do and think in the name of God. How can you possibly trust them if they are clearly possessed by the devil?
oh- and he was also buying drugs (crystal meth?) from this prostitute, with whom he had a 3 year 'affair'. So- this wasn't an isolated incident.

What we should really be asking is how, with all the intense background investigation that goes on of anyone allowed to get close to bush, how could they not have been aware of what he was doing? Not matter what loud and indignant rant a bush-league can come up with, the fact remains that bush could Not have been unaware of what haggard was doing.
The same applies to members of congress. Remember that the elder bush was CIA director before he became reagan's puppet master, the current bush administration has the most powerful tool that ever existed for digging up a person's past (or inventing one). Whatever dirt they find becomes political leverage.
So foley and the other gay rights had also to have been known to bush.
What does all this say about republican claims about supporting normal sexual relationships and family values? It is time for the republican party, which I have been a member of for half a century, to go the way of the Dodo Bird.

I think it's a good that he stepped down from the position he held in the evangelical group, but I also think Christians need to stop gawking and gossiping and shut up and pray for the guy. This could happen to anyone who takes their eyes off of Christ. Check out the blog entry I just wrote about Haggard.

Aw heck when i think i have heared it all then something else jumps out of the woodwork.The latest one that got my attention was in Alberton,Ala where this 19 yr old boy raped his 45 yr old mother last week.Before that i heard of this man who sexually molested his 1day old daughter about 6mo ago,before that there was this emergency room doctor caught window peeping using a ladder to look through upstairs bedroom windows,befor that there was this guy calling these women and getting them to take their clothes off and unlock the door so he could come over and have sex with them... People are crazy God has to be pretty tuff to put up with this kind of stuff.Makes me wonder if i'll go off the deep end next,scary ain't it ?Just think these r the ones we hear about no telling what goes on out there we never hear about.You can write a tabloid on real life and it will be strange enough !!One more i know of this man who cut his penis off with a butcher knife !!!Truman Capotye says real life stories make the best plots because your screen writers cant think of the stuff that happens in real life as well as the real thing ..

I'm surprised everybody knows about it so fast. He admitted to buying but not taking it and he has denied having sex with the male prostitute. I think he is gay and a drug addict.

OK, it was hypocritical. But this Liberal Democrat still believes that what happens between consenting adults is none of my business. However, if the escort did sell or give him methamphetamine (the powder form) then he should be prosecuted.

HE WILL punish real bad....Because it makes God look very bad.....So Haggards a foolish man if this is true, and frankly! I sure am glad not to be in his shoes....
Because Nothing -man can do to punish Haggard, will be too harsh...compaired to what GOD says he will do!...to ANY one employed by HIM!
