Is there anything at ALL that could be said by your political opponents that would change your political affiliation? For example, is there anything a conservative could say that would make a liberal change their mind about abortion? Or is there anything a liberal could say that could change a conservative's mind about the war in Iraq?

So, if people are so steadfast in their views, why do they think they can modify other's views? Aren't we just wasting our time arguing about the issues that are so politicized? Don't people realize that these arguments start and end with nobody changing their viewpoints? How dumb.

Consider these examples:
-can anyone convince an atheist that God exists? No (waste of time)
-can anyone convince a Liberal that we should stay in Iraq? No way.
-can anyone convince a Conservative that Bill Clinton was a great president? No way
-can anyone convince a militant minority group that racial profiling is an appropriate tactic? No way.

Are you glad liberals passed such programs as Social Security, Medicare, the Civil Rights Act, women's suffrage, federal deposit insurance, unemployment compensation, rural electrification, child labor laws, minimum wages and the 40-hour work week?

There is nothing American about being democrat so this connection must be sound.
Killing babies is not American.
Pro-Sodomy laws are not American.
Entitlement is not American.
Terrorim is not American.
Anti-Gun is not American.
Refusing to support the troops is not American.
Thus, in conclusion, liberalism is NOT American in any shape or form.

Will Republicans still blame Clinton for what ever the new president does that is less than intelligent? Will they say he's only cleaning up what Bush messed up, or will Clinton be the scapegoat too. That is, if the new elected president is a Republican.

The unemployment rate would be 7.0 percent if the same share of the population was employed today as at the beginning of the business cycle. The unemployment rate can drop for two reasons: because job growth is strong or because fewer people are looking for work. Unfortunately, the reason the unemployment rate has dropped to 4.9 percent is that Americans have been falling out of the labor market, not because a greater share of the population has a job. In March 2001, 64.3 percent of Americans 16 or older were employed. Had that number not dropped to 62.8 percent by December 2005, an additional there would have been an additional 3.5 million jobs and the unemployment rate would be 7.0 percent.

getting a little wiser. Don't get me wrong, I never have supported him and never would vote for any of his crew. But just recently it seems like he is getting in way over his head and is acting just a tiny bit wiser. Maybe it's just that he realizes that he has over extended our forces and expended his political capital. he actually said there will be changes in the way things are done in Iraq and told the N. Koreans we would not attack them. Is he finally maturing from that frat boy with no reponsibility and no sense of understanding there might be repurcussions for the arrogant stance he shows other leaders.
