Generally speaking, yes.
However there are a rare few Democrats who are patriotic. Zell Miller is the best (and perhaps the only) example I can think of.

What is American is "All men are created equal" which the Republicans piss on every day by discriminating against gay people and people of religions other than Christianity. What is also American is "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness" which the Republicans constantly piss on with the drug war, prostitution laws, censorship and all their other religious nonsense. They would like to use the other version "Life Liberty and Property," but that's not what made it in, is it? I'm sure there's a good reason they came to that conclusion.
Also--
Keeping women barefoot and pregnant is not American
Arresting adults for what they do in their own bedroom is not American
Entitlement is just as much a Republican value as Democrat--all the rich kids get the best opportunities
Democrats don't support Terrorism, no American does
Gun laws being too lax is a danger to any society
Democrats support the troops by refusing to support sending them into combat for stupid reasons

"Killing babies is not American."
Killing civilians in their own country in the name of America is?
"Pro-Sodomy laws are not American."
Pro-sodomy laws are not Christian. Legislating relationships between consenting adults is not American.
"Entitlement is not American."
Democratic Entitlement programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid?
"Terrorim (sic) is not American."
The worst act of domestic terrorism by a US Citizen was carried out by Tim McVeigh. I'll leave it to you to find out how he voted.
"Anti-Gun is not American."
I'm sorry you have to wait a few days before you can get your shiny new gun. And I'm sorry that we feel that an AK-47 might be a bit of overkill.
"Refusing to support the troops is not American."
Which is precisely why George Bush and the rest of his draft-dodging cronies need to go. Retired Army Col. Larry Wilkerson, the former chief of staff to Gen. Colin Powell at the State Department in President Bush's first term and now an outspoken critic of the administration's policies in Iraq, said there's still a way to succeed.
"First, you have to think big," Wilkerson said. "Not stupid big, the way Cheney and Bush and Rumsfeld do, but smart big the way Teddy Roosevelt used to do."

Actually denying others their right of free speech and right to believe what they wish is not American. So I am thinking you have just forfeited your status as an American Citizen. Have fun in Iraq where your fascist views will be well received.

Bush has been the most liberal president in History,, he is killing babies,, his speaker, Hastert is in a cover-up of child predator, Foley,, the president supports him,, he is not entitled to be president,, he has betrayed his country,, he is pro-gun and pro-nuclear,, just anti-pronunciation,, he has let the troops down with his lies to invade Iraq,, creating civil war,, his failure to stop N Korea from acquiring nuclear weapons is un-American for sure
