Bush will be remembered for dumping endless amounts of money into a war that we never won and never could win. We are so far into debt because of him, it's ridiculous.

Bush's stated agenda in an interview - and I can't remember who it was with - shortly after the start of his little war in Iraq stated that he wanted to be remembered as a "nation builder who spread freedom and democracy" to other countries - like Iraq where he has succeeded so admirably. This was the legacy he wanted to leave - so he said, if you can believe him, but remember, he is a pathological liar. And you can see how the Iraqi people and those in Afghanistan have embraced democracy and freedom. Our troops are in no danger and are welcomed everywhere they go in those two countries because they are spreading Bush's version of freedom and democracy.
At least LBJ's legacy was in signing the Civil Rights Bill which Kennedy originally proposed. Nixon's legacy - until Bush came along - was in being the most crooked president in history, but even he did some good in opening up China to the modern world. Carter's legacy was - well, he was president. Reagan's legacy was not in ending communism because he had nothing to do with what was a natural evolution, but rather in showing that even the dimmest bulb in the package can get elected. Bush No. 1 has the Gulf War as his legacy - not all that bad since it got the Iraqis out of Kuwait although he could have done more. Clinton's legacy was a booming economy and good times, even though people insist on dwelling on the Lewinsky nonsense. And Bush's legacy - high gas prices, a never-ending war, the demise of the middle class, the division of the country.....not something to be all that proud of. He blew it!

He has 2 years left to pull a rabbit out of his hat. I hope he does well but at this time I would say his legacy will be the huge additional debt that he has added during his presidency with total neglect of infrastructure.
Over they next 2 years, we might hear people talk about repealing the war powers act and disallowing presidential signing statements. These are both important powers of the president but they have been severely abused over the last 6 years. I think if the next 2 years continue like the last 6, we will see a real backlash against presidential powers.

Sadly, his legacy will be a nation in needless debt by the sheer amount of deficit spending he has "master-minded." In his defense, he is but a mouth-piece "installed" by powers of corporate & multi-national interests... mostly those of western oil. To his discredit, he almost seems to enjoy his role as this farse of a presidency... Did someone say the word "democracy?" We have no democracy in this nation... that is the most lamentable of our delusions about today's "politics." No. Poor Gee Dubya will have little to point to as being viewed as "farsighted;" The chief descriptors which future historians will use is "unbridled greed," and an exploitive, fear-mongering administration.

I think History will decide GWB's Legacy. GWB has attempted to change the face of the Middle east. Unfortunately The face he's attempting to carve will probably take about as long as it took to carve Mt. Rushmore. Should Afganistan and Iraq move on in the future to become strong STABLE democracies. GWB will be viewed as a Visionairy. He they fail I do believe his legacy will be that of a Failure.

President Bush has no agenda on a legacy, he is a man of honor and principle, He will do what is takes to protect the American
people, even the stupid ones who hate him. History will define
him as a great President, who took on the Islam's Terrorist and
all who side with them. He did not cower in the face of Terrorism.

Bush's legacy will be two things.
1. The War in Iraq, and how he deals with it.
2. The War on terror, if we ever win it.
Still have 2 years left to see.

For all you people that think President Bush is stupid!
Well now, lets see if we can put a few things in perspective for those among us who are the truly imbecilic, moronic, ignoramuses who think GWB is stupid.
Shall we compare what a stupid guy has done to what any of you have done - don't worry this will take about a second.
Here is a guy who, out of of 300 million people, has been selected twice to lead the country and who serves in the most powerful position of anyone in the country.
The USA is the most powerful, both economically and militarily, country on a planet with over 6 billion people on it. Does that make him the smartest guy on the planet? Probably not. Does it make him smarter than you? Without a doubt.
But let's continue. Shall we?
While you might consider him stupid, he was apparently smarter than the 100 million or so democrats who tried to defeat him in his last 8 elections. Plus, he received higher grades in college than the latest 2 liberal candidates threw up against him.
So, if according to you he is stupid, how has he also accomplished all of these things against people who you must consider smarter than you or why would you vote for them?
I would challenge you to take a look at your own pathetic, monumentally insignificant and truly worthless life and tell us all what you have accomplished in a way of even the most remote comparison.
The purpose of the question is to find exactly where YOU must inevitably rank on the intellectual scale in comparison since you have virtually nothing, either in your past or future, which will come close to a single one of gwb's accomplishments?
Looking at it that way, if you consider him stupid and he has accomplished all of these things, it must kind of make you feel about as insignificant and worthless as a drop of water in the worlds oceans. Or, to put it in terms you can relate to, a piece of cow sh*t in the middle of a 100,000 acre pasture.
